In the past this used to be a step that only came at the very end, but in recent months there have been a lot of us (myself included) who have had this status from the very first day we linked to GCKey. Hopefully it means they are working on our BGC all the way through, but we honestly can't say with certainty. Can someone please help to confirm this...
On GC-Key, does 'Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information' means BGC has started?
If not, then what am I suppose to see on the BGC status line.
Thank you

Mail.In your line 2 they've sent you letter was it thru paper mail? Thanks.
Just remember it's only putting you a few months back which if you put into perspective, is not that long compared to the rest of your lives together . Just set a deadline for yourself to sit down and get it done. I'm still in limbo havn't received AOR and they havn't sent it back either. We are still trying to re-apply. I have to use updated forms and I have found work in my home country, so my status changed.
I lost motivation and positivity to be honest, that and not being able to do this together is clouding my mind. I have trouble focussing and think too much about lost time and the time I lose everyday I wait to re-apply..
Excuse for the rant, but this is the only platform I have to discuss our emmigration progress.
Hi! I absolutely agree with @rach_yyz above, they just expressed my idea before I had time to reply to you On the scale of life you're losing nothing - one or to months. I understand your frustration, but if you think about it again, there's nothing to worry about. You probably don't kick yourself everyday that you haven't met your loved one a month or two months before you actually met them, right? You don't think about "lost time" in that prospective. Here's the same. There's no need to lose your patience and motivation. You now need to reapply as soon as you can, and in a couple of months from now when you finally get your AOR, you won't even remember when you applied - in February or in April. We are still trying to re-apply. I have to use updated forms and I have found work in my home country, so my status changed.

But you have to send the fees receipt through IRCC Webform or your GC key account.I got an email to pay my bio I payed it on Thursday is that my request or am I going to get a different email for request when they received it
Usually they send both the request with in 24 to 48 hours. If PA in India make your Bio metrics appointment quickly. Very few dates available when we did in last week. As for Medical you will get appointment very easily.I recieved my AOR 1 on April 5. Today the PA's account shows a Biometrics request letter. We still haven'r received the sponsor approval though. Is this normal?
I am also wondering when I will get Medical request? PA has to travel some distance to get BR and MR. I am hoping she has to travel once only and not twice. What shd I do? wait a couple of days?
I already got my medical request my husband is going to do that on TuesBut you have to send the fees receipt through IRCC Webform or your GC key account.
Once they will receive it , you will get another email for biometrics request and Medical request will follow after theat in same day or next day.
But did you submitted that bio metrics fees receipt to immigration office?I already got my medical request my husband is going to do that on Tues
