Feb 1st here. I just got a notice today that I passed the eligibility requirements. Hadn’t heard anything since April before that.

I wasn’t asked for my biometrics and the letter I received today says they’re refunding me $85 but it doesn’t say why. I’m guessing it’s the biometrics?? But it seems weird that some people are asked for them and some are not?
I’ve been living in Canada since 2017 and have a work permit so maybe it’s because of that?

Anyway, my timeline so far is:

Application sent: Jan 31
Received: Feb 1
AOR: March 27
Open work permit approved: March 29
Work permit received: April 3
Medical request: April 15
Medical done: April 18
Medical passed: May 2
Eligibility passed: July 12

Good luck everyone!

Congratulations! What city did you apply from?

Thanks for the update! Congrats. Do you have a date of the ghost update?

I never got a ghost update. I saw everyone else getting it, so for the last two weeks I’ve logged in everyday - no changes.

Then this morning I got an email saying there was a change, logged in and there was a new message showing the scan of the letter.

But, the main top bit where it says all the steps was still the same. It actually still says “we will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility”.

I also checked ecas after I read the letter to see what that says and it still only shows “medical results have been received”.

I had to send the police certificate before the 11th, but unfortunately no luck. The Dutch government didn’t process my request yet, so I’m very scared for what will happen now. I already sent in a message before the deadline with the update that I’m still waiting for the backgroundcheck (and proof that I requested it). Anyone else who sent theirs in too late?

I checked mine again just now and ecas says Decision Made too!
Congratulations for us ! I was quite afraid my application would be denied because they asked me for more proof of Coohabitation document and I didn’t have joint bank account , insurance, lease, benefitis with my Common law . My common law is divorced and is 17 years older than me! I think what helped was the letters from our friends and family and we traves a lot for different countries and sent many ! I wish everyone good luck and even if you think your situation is complicated, do not give up and believe until the final decision!
