Some early january applicants are having their background checks started.
That's not a delay. It can come at any time throughout the processing. Sometimes the request doesn't come until after the file has been sent to the VO and the request comes from them. Nothing to worry about.
On the phone service, it says I have passed the medical exam. On ECAS, it says medical results have been received. Strange.
It doesn’t say if you’ve passed on ECAS, it will always just say that they have been received.
Our BGC is taking place in Mexico and it is going to take at least 3 months from what I've read. Ah well.
Yeah. The Mexican City VO is extremely slow for doing BGCs.. my wife and I will definitely be delayed in the process. Which sucks. It is what it is. We are looking into getting our BGC done early and then sending it in when the Government requests it, however.
i don't think background check is done by VO. As i know, RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) provides criminal history check and the CSIS (Canadian Security Intelligence Service) provides security check.
