Not always, sometimes there could be 2-3 ghost updates before you get the PPR, especially you received any ADR

My point is that on the last day of the 6th month, my current status change to Application/profile updated though I didn’t see update, when I logged out and logged in back it had changed to submitted. Did you experience same?
No, I didn't see that

10 days left and not even a ghost update....
6 days for me and nothing for me either. Called them yesterday and they said eligibility is under review and security has not started. The agent said my file go beyond 6 months mark. It's saddening

At least your Eligibility is under review, when I called, they said both eligibility and security has not started. Then the same blah blah about every case is different. At the end he said if the application is complex, it might take upto 10 months or even a year to get a result, But so far there are no complexities in my application, according to him. Asked me to get back in touch once the six months is over. Told me not to expect it before that.

Relax.... all January AORs have exceeded their 6 months timelines.....
So be patient buddy

After crossing the 6 months time line, do they give any tentative date for receiving PPR? Are there any follow-ups from their side?

Yup people after crossing the timeline call CIC agents.... raise web forms.....order GCMS notes..... mail Ralph..... seek patience to bear the waitingggggg time....
All the best to everyone who’s waiting for the golden mail for the start of the new journey...
