So after ages, I just got a ghost update!

The last update was when my Additional Documents went from submitted to "we are reviewing" in early April. AoR was on Feb 7th (it still says the same).

I think I should receive my GCMS notes next week, but right now am way happier than I should be :)
Coincidence or what, I got a ghost update too.

Maybe the guys in Singapore got a sudden urge to get some work done. I'm not complaining :)

Hi, I don't get what you mean? I am from Singapore!

:) Well, I meant the people in the Singapore Visa Office who have been sitting on my file for ages.

So unless you work there, wasn't meant for you - however, if the glove fits can also wear lah!

Hey @aamool
Would you (or anyone) happen to know if it's our respective VOs that complete our background checks?
Or do they just handle post-BG (ie. PPR, COPR, etc.) work?

It's a good question. My file was transferred to Singapore just after my medical and criminality had finished (I know because I ordered GCMS notes quite early). So in my case it seems a bulk of the work is going to be done by the Local Visa Office. I'm afraid I don't know enough to judge whether this is typical or not...

Few questions pls

Do we have to print and sign the Letter of explanation?
Do we have to explain and give reasons for every career break like for e.g I took a 3 month break to be with my baby.

Thanks, @aamool. I'd like to ask a couple more questions, if that's okay. :)

my medical and criminality had finished
  • "medical" - is this the same as "Medicals Passed"? Or is it something after Medicals?
  • "criminality" - do the GCMS notes report a date for when this is cleared?
(I know because I ordered GCMS notes quite early).
  • What is the benefit of ordering GCMS notes?[/QUOTE]

Would anyone here have further insights on this?

Thank you!:D

OIC, so you apply your PR from Singapore?
May I know your current place of Residence?

I applied from Thailand (where I've been living for the past several years), for some reason the IRCC decided to assign my file to the Singapore office...
