I tried sending email to Erin as I had already asked Goodale couple of weeks back. Response from Erin's office was slow and they came back with wrong information as it showed my file is at CPC-Ottawa and gave me wrong date that my file was received in CIO on 23-March.Does Mr. Erin also give info like Mr. Goodale.
Also, if someone has mailed Mr. Goodale and gotten a reply what difference would it make to ask Mr. ERIN ?
After you submit your application, a message appears in account with the title "Acknowledgement of receipt - Application for permanent residence" - that's the AOR. This is usually dated the day you submit but can be off by a day or so. In my case I submitted and got the letter on Feb 7th, but the letter itself is dated Feb 8th, but I always stated that my AOR was Feb 7thHello Guys,
I am new to this thread, i am still not aware what AOR is , but i would like to provide my details and current application status .

Hi, I did use my new passport details.if one passport is already expired then you need to send only the current (valid) passport. Btw, which passport details did you use while submitting the application? If it was of the old one, I hope you've updated them regarding the new Passport.
I got my PPR in early July, and actually landed in Toronto early this month.Got it Aamool,
Mine is from Feb as well, Did you get your Final decision for PR ? ( PPR ) ?
Not sure why you think you should send your old passport? I also concur that you only need to send you currently valid passport. I did this for my spouse (her old passport had valid visas). The only exception I can think of is when your old passport has a PR visa that needs to be cancelled and a new one out on a new passport that replaces it. This actually happened for my kids.Hi, I did use my new passport details.
My old passport holds the information regarding my current visa status in USA.
May I know the source of your information regarding not having to send an old passport?
I think you are right. I just wanted to make sure to avoid any unnecessary delays. Not sure why you think you should send your old passport? Man this is so frustrating...I've sent them multiple webforms under both enquiry categories "Permanent Residence (applied online)" and "Change of contact information" but they just never respond to it! I just don't understand how every other webform submission of mine gets acknowledged but not something this important..
So much relieving for me as I was nervous about this.I am also in your situation - planning to move to India in a month or two from US - (it will definitely be before my PPR). I was planning to send a change of address too.
In any case in the PPR mail they will ask you to either send to Ottawa or ask for an updated location. In that you can again re-specify where you are and get an updated PPR mail.
Sent him the email. Just hoping he doesn't give wrong info.erin.weir@parl.gc.ca
I guess this is the one, I am not completely sure. Please wait until someone else can confirm it.
Don't worry - that's the easiest partSo much relieving for me as I was nervous about this.
