I think this really depends on where you are submitting your passport. I used VFS Bangkok and they sent it to Singapore. The initial estimate was 30 days and took around 25 in the end.

How long does stamping process in New Delhi take? I was told by VFS agent that there is no standard timeline, but I have to travel next week, so a little worried.

Got the mail at 3:08 am IST (17:38 Friday, EST) this morning, didn't go to spam, the filter worked for me.

I can confirm the theory that you feel nothing. I was watching a movie and saw the notification on my mobile, instead of opening it I kept watching the movie. I don't feel like its the end of the journey or anything like that, No elevated emotions, don't even feel like the weight off my head or heart.
For me, its just the end of another part of the journey and the beginning of the next part, which is also going to be challenging and demanding.

Thank you guys for keeping me company when I felt lost out and lost. The last 7 months taught me so many lessons that I was too stubborn learn in the past. Thank you for being the best supports, advisers and motivators.

Also, an update submitted passports on 13th September to VFS and exactly 10 days later EE profile updated saying Approved and return envelope activated.
Waiting for passports now..

Query about change of Passport submission office:
1. Applied my PR from India (Permanent address).
2. Moved to US permanently (work visa) and received PPR/CPOC at the same time (13th September).
3. They have asked me to submit my passport at India VAC. But I want to submit the passport now from a local US submission center.

Query:
1. How can I ensure that I can submit the passport from US office rather than from India office ?
2. If I can submit the application from US, can I send passport directly to Ottawa office or only by locally depositing it to LA/New York VFS office ?

Steps taken till now:
1. Filled in the web form to request for the same/ address change (21 sep). Response awaited.
2. Written email to cpc-ctd-ottawa@cic.gc.ca. Response awaited (21 sep)

Firs advice is to call IRCC agents and ask what you should, the response will be faster than writing.
I am not sure about this, But applicants from US normally send their passport to IRCC office in Canada for processing. I haven't heard about anyone submitting it at LA or NY. Since did not apply from US, I don't know if it will be the same for you.
You've already written to them and lets hope they reply soon, in the mean time, as I said early, please try to call them and what to do?
