I have been silent follower of the forum and thread. Wish everyone gets their PPR soon. Here is my timeline.

Application: FSW-O
Nationality: India
Applying from: US
AOR: February 24
Initial number of applicants: 2
Baby was born in March
Updated CIC in April and sent baby details in May.
Medicals passed: May 17
BIL: April 29
Ordered GCMS notes: July 5 via GETGCMS. No response till now.
E-mailed Ralph on Aug 9 and the response was Criminality passed, security and eligibility haven’t been initiated.
Ready for Visa email: September 12th around. 10 p.m. EST
Online account: Still says submitted except on September 12 it was “application updated” for one time and changed back to submitted again.

Online account will change only once your CoPR is issued. Until then it will remain same.

Thought of applying for express entry in May 2018 and spouse IELTS in June 2018.

Myself as primary applicant, scored 9 8.5 7 7 in IELTS second attempt September 2018.

BIOMETRICS CLEARED: 18 April

RPRF REQUEST AND PAYMENT: 14 August

PPR (mail received in spam): 13 September

Hello my lovely people,

Finally some movement on my file so thought to share an update.

I got 2 emails from CIC with msgs in my account.

1. It was to pay Biometrics fees for my spouse and they will then send the letter when she has to do Biometrics
2. Asking for more proof of marriage and filling IMM0008 form.

I have heard from them after 17th March so didnt wanted to take lot of time in replying to 2 above request.

They had given me 15 days to do the needful but I have already submitted the documents visa Case Specific Enquiry although they asked me to do via My CIC account but couldnt find the extra tab to upload the documents.

I hope these requests are a positive sign.

I called CIC to check whether I have passed the background check to which agent replied :

Criminality : Finally Passed on 11th September, 2019
Eligibility: Still in progress
Security : Not started
Visa office : Montreal
AOR : 1st Feb, 2019
Category: CEC Inland

I am assuming that these requests are a positive sign as they will only ask Biometrics of Spouse once they are done my background check but not sure.

Hello everyone. I read this thread four five times on a daily basis. My aor is Feb 14 2019. No updates after rprf in august. May I ask a silly question about pr photo? Should it have a border around it or there should be no border at all? I just need to be prepared for the golden email. Fingers crossed.

I guess there wasn’t any email saying your application/account is updated. It is just when you login, you see Application/Profile Updated instead of Submitted Once only. Am I right ???

For VFS - Carry your passports with 2 xerox copies, money in Cash (3k) and get your photos clicked at the booth.. It is better as you need a stamp on the photos..
Also, they will give you a consent form and do opt for the courier and sms service.. It will be useful..

Stamp? its not mandatory to have a stamp. The backside of the photo should show Name and DOB of applicant, name and complete address of the studio where it is taken. The instruction clearly says the photographer may use a stamp or Handwrite the the information. Stick on labels are not allowed, that is all.

I have a question guys. While dropping the passport can we give an address which is different from the one which was specified in the application? My mailing address is different from physical address.

Why didn't you give both address while filling up the application? My mailing address and current address is different and I have given both while filling up my application.
Mostly they will send the courier to the address on the passport. if you want it delivered to a different address, you should ask VFS while submitting. If it is not possible then chose to collect it in person.

Do we need appointment for passport submission at VFS and have they informed the passport returning date?
