Hey everyone. My husband just finished writing the citizenship test in Scarborough; he got 19/20. They did not give him a timeline of when to expect an oath invite, but they told him it would come in the mail or via email.

Just finished writing the test and passed at the Mississauga office. Interview was pretty straight forward and did not last more than a couple minutes. Now the wait for the Oath Ceremony begins. One more step closer to becoming a Canadian Citizen!!!
what happens in interview? did they check each and every stamp? thanks

Hi there. Honestly the interview was very basic in my case since I only had 1 trip out of Canada during my eligibility period. The interviewing officer was very professional and polite. It was more of a conversation rather than an interview. However, my case was very straight forward and simple. I'm sure everyone's experience will be different.

Where is the location of your test? I am supposed to go to my Oath tomorrow in Mississauga.
I am really hoping they won't cancel it..

Hey guys - writing my test soon and I am a bit nervous. I am reading the discover canada guide and also taking short 20 - 50 question quizzes off this website: http://citizenshipcounts.ca/quiz

Those that have taken the test recently, was it hard? Were questions mostly about history or geography or government? How did you or what did you use to prepare for the test?

Hi there. That's a really good site for practice questions. Honestly the test was not difficult and most of the questions were on that site but some were worded a little differently. Once you read Discover Canada a couple times and do the practice questions you will be fine. Some of the questions were pretty easy and the answers were obvious when you looked at the options. The first person to finish the test did so in less than 5 minutes. I myself reviewed my answers three times!!! And only took about 8 mins to do so. It's a good mix of questions with regards to geography, government, important dates and events. Read the guide a couple times and practice as many times as you can and you will pass. Also, try doing the 100 questions practice session. I found that it had questions that I was not being asked when I did the 50 or lesser amount of questions.
Goodluck!!

That sounds awesome! Thanks I will try that. I will only probably get around to reading the guide once given how quickly my date is approaching, but I have been doing the practice rounds a fair bit. They are actually fun! So I will keep at it and try the 100 question quiz too!

I did a lot of practice questions from different sites. Like you, I found those fun to do. I read the book only once a day before the test and scored 20/20. Different sites have somewhat different wording so it will help you in learning and deriving the correct answer.

Good Luck!

for my case they checked only what not matched with the CBSA report, and also they are interested to check the dates that are in NON-ENGLISH like saudia, dubai etc if you have those, lucky i had ticket with me to verify those dates and it went well.

Hi, I use this site as well, and also https://www.apnatoronto.com/canadian-citizenship-test-practice/ this one here.

I just finished my citizenship test yesterday, 20/20, and these two sites I would say are the closest to the real ones.

and chill, the real test are actually easier, and the choices they provide are very easy to guess right. I would have scored maybe 12-14 just by using common sense and not reading discover canada at all. But still, be well prepared, but don't over panic.
