Hello everyone! I come with good news..

I did confirm with him though that my application is in the process of being sent to Ottawa. Which we had no idea before today that it would be sent to Ottawa. So I feel like I can now chance my VO to Ottawa <3
hopefully all of you who are in the same situation are in it for the same reasons.
It's now been about a week and a half since they responded to the note. so hopefully we get some form of AOR2 sooner than later.

Half tempted to email Ottawa Vo to see if they've received it. more scared to contact them though over the people at CIC on the phone.

Hi,

Two weeks back I contacted my MP to check what's happening.

When my MP office asked, CIC had told them that the file was in transit for my visa office. But one week after that, we got Schedule A request from Mississauga office.
Not sure whats exactly happening!

Hi,

We got an update too. It says: "Review of additional documents | We need additional documents to process your application. Check your messages below for details."
But no messages, and no documents are actually requested when we go in :)

Also I saw that there was an update in the website early this morning. Not sure if thats the reason.

Will wait and see......
Hi there,

We got the same thing today

Under details in GCKey, it shows 'your action is required'.
Under Review of medical results, it shows 'We have requested a medical exam. Check your messages below for details.'

But there is no message!!!!!!!!!!!!

No worries friends. I think all of us got the same notification but we have no messages showing. I'm currently on hold to speak to an agent at the call center agent and I'll let you all know what they said. Approximate hold time is 26 minutes. :)

Hello friends! I just got off of the phone with the call center and the agent pulled up my file and confirmed that there is in fact no request for medical, and that it is most likely a glitch on MyCIC after the maintenance that happened. Very disheartening news for some.

Seemed weird that even April / May applicants were getting the same message as us.

Now we know!

We got our hopes up when we saw the update on our account!

hey guys I got this message this morning and its awkward that Ottawa VO transferred my application to Los Angeles !!

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. Your application has been transferred to the visa office in Los Angeles, CA, USA for further review of your eligibility and admissibility for a permanent resident visa.

The Canadian visa office in Los Angeles will communicate with you via e-mail. The email you receive will come from email addresses that end in “@international.gc.ca” or “@cic.gc.ca”. Please add these to the “safe senders” list in your email program. You should also check your junk mail folder in your email program and/or in your email website in case important emails get filtered into this folder.

Please note that the visa office in Los Angeles cannot respond to case status enquiries at this time. We ask you to be patient and wait until that office contacts you within the next two months. Your patience will permit the visa office to begin work on your application more quickly.

However, if your personal circumstances change, such as the birth or adoption of a child, a marriage or a divorce, you must inform that visa office immediately. They must also be informed if any of the following change:

· Change of email address

· Change of residential or mailing address

· Change of immigration representative (if applicable)

· Decision to withdraw your application

· Approval of Arranged Employment Opinion by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada

Please forward all future correspondence as follows:

By email: los-angeles-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

By mail: Immigration Section

Consulate General of Canada
550 South Hope Street, 9th Floor
Los Angeles, CA 90071

* Please include your application number, full name and date of birth on any correspondence*

That is a bit awkward.
Does anyone know what the timeline for LAVO is?
We just got confirmation yesterday that we would be going to the Ottawa VO.
I'm hoping we don't get transferred there since we are Outland US. :|
Unless Ottawa is that backed up.

From what I've read, typically when a US applicant is transferred to Los Angeles means your app has been 'red flagged' and/or you will require an interview. Is the primary applicant a US citizen? I would order GCMS notes @awahidi

Really ?! where did you read such things! The PA is not a US citizen

From senior members on earlier posts. They will only forward apps to Los Angeles if your app requires further eligibility checks, or an interview.
