I don't think that means much. We're six weeks into our background check and still waiting on the final decision. My husband is American and it normally doesn't take long for the Americans. Someone mentioned that the final decisions tend to go out in batches at the beginning of each month, so we're hoping to hear something this week. Fingers crossed!

Every cases are still different though. There are some whose BC changed to IP and got PPR within the same day, within the same week, within a month or so.

Hoping for our PPRs soon! ***Fingers and toes crossed*** :-)

Are you Married or Common-law?
We have a similar Timeline only mine hasn't even started the background check yet.
I'm starting to get a bit nervous again.
I hear Married individuals get through faster though. I did however already get my medical processed. but no file transfer and no notification of my background check being starting but it does say, "Your application is in process, the next step is a background check"
It's read that though since late March 3rd.

Hey guys,
In my wife's myCIC it shows the following

Background check Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check.

Does that mean the BC has started already or it will start in the future?

Thanks,

That's what mine says as well. When I called in it meant that they haven't started it yet.
when they do start it, it will say that they have.

Thanks for this, Yes I tried by putting 2 and after 5 tries it locked me for 24hrs.. Wondering what to do :'(

Try entering a single space for "Place of birth", and Number of applicants as 2.
That worked for us.

I also have the exact status in my myCIC's profile. I think they just haven't started conducting the BC yet but I got a confirmation from my VO that they already got the additional doc they requested me to (Sched A). Hoping to get a positive feedback from them this month! :D

After 5 weeks of no changes on cic/ecas my wife (sponsor) received AOR2 indicating that our application had been transferred to Ottawa.
I would have thought our local VO would have been London UK since we are only 5 miles away. ???

Our ecas status also changed to 'In Progress'! ;D

My cic account has not showed up slots for uploading documents so i uploaded SCH A via IRCC webform ( 04.04.2017)
On 18th. 04. i got an email from them :

Dear client,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your file is currently located at a visa office outside Canada.

Because of the specific nature of your enquiry, we invite you to contact them directly in order to:

Report important changes,
Provide documents,
Obtain information regarding the status of your application, or
Enquire on an outcome to a request.

You will find the complete list of visa offices on our website.

Once you select the office you wish to contact, you will be presented with the different ways you may.

Sincerely,

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

Called agents twice. The first time when i called she said that she still can't see that my SCH has been attached and she confirmed that my application has been sent to VO VIENNA and if i need anything i should contact them directly.

Called today again and another agent said that my application is still In CPC Mississauga. I told her that i was told by her colleague that my app is in Vienna right now and i read an email which i listed above. She said i am not sure what kind of e mail was and your app is still in CPC Mississauga.
I am so confused and not sure what to do. Should i upload schA again? or contact them by e-mail?

Thank you both for your help, I hear that the Bucharest VO is slower at processing applications. Hope to hear some good news soon.

I've been away for a while, who is maintaining the spreadsheet?
It wasn't ever perfect but currently it is a disaster. ::)

Congratulations !

Absolutely correct, infact I'm in the similar situation. Haven't received any sponsorship approval email neither any updates on ECAS but they did asked for medical. Should I call CIC on the status of Schedule A even though I received general acknowledgement receipt upon submitting to IRCC webform ??

Thank you guys for the help
