PrinceOfPersia, thanks for the clarification! Fairly certain we did not receive any email for SA.

On the sponsor's ECAS for "sponsorship application status" it does say "Decision Made". Clicking into it shows:

We received your application to sponsor XXXXX on February 6, 2017.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 22, 2017.
We started processing your application on February 21, 2017.


Under the "permanent residence application status" column, it indicates "In Process". Clicking into it shows:

We received XXXXX's application for permanent residence on February 6, 2017.
We started processing XXXXX's application on March 13, 2017.



I guess I should be taking this as good news? Though I have no idea why they are not yet requesting for a medical, or anything else for that matter?

Yes it's a good news indeed, do not worry you've been approved and it's already in a process which is actually a good sign. Sometimes CIC will not send out email to all the applicants including SA or you might get it later you never know. I would advise you to stand by for now and I hope you'll get the request for Medicals soon. It's just a matter of time!!

Great! I see that your application seems to be progressing really well too.

We actually submitted schedule A, police certs etc upfront with the application after getting some assurance from the CIC helpline before we submitted the application that "I don't see why they wouldn't" process it if we included them with the application package.

On a related note, is it possible if we get the medical done now, even before the request comes in? Or is there some specific document/number that the PA has to present during the medical for it to be submitted the right way? From the spreadsheet I see a good number of us that completed the medical even before submitting the application. It is very tempting to get the medical done in advance so I can send the results immediately after we get the request.

It's still too early to get visa stamped (COPR) for 2017. Not at the moment but some of the Jan applicants might get it early next month or before end of this month.

lol I understand your temptation but I would recommend you to wait for CIC to send you the form and request you to take medical. They'll send specific form to PA and request you to submit it to the doctor. Hang tight until you receive them!

Can anyone help me? We still didn't get any correspondence from IRRC. They told us that they have sent an additional information required last March 15, 2017 and until now, every day we check the account and ECAs and still got nothing... What to do? Will it really takes time for it ti show up?

A couple of Jan applicants received Passport Request (PPR) in 45 days

I was married in Vancouver and the marriage certificate is issued by the province of BC. With my application, should I send a notarized copy? Or just a photo copy will suffice since it was issued in Canada.

So, my ECAS changed to IN process at last. Now expecting medical call. Already submitted schedule A and PCC.

Hey all, just joined the thread. New to the forum.

I'm from Toronto, Ontario and I filed my wife's application on March 10th to the Mississauga office. They received it on March 13th. I still haven't received any confirmation from their side so I'm assuming it takes a while before they open your file and send you a UCI number or even just a confirmation. How long did it take everyone else to receive confirmation of receipt?
