Hi yes we have received a letter in email regarding the approval of SA and it says it will hold my application before transffering to the VO until i submit the requested documents ..BUTTTTT there is no req in mycic ..

My application was submitted a day after yours and still no SA. Nothing in my cic but Eva's shows that correspondence was sent.

OMG OMG!! I just received my SA today but they asked for a signed Schedule A (That I had already submitted upfront with PCC) for my husband (PA) and his dependents (whether accompanying or not). Dependents would be children right? or the parents or siblings could count as dependents too? If someone could answer please :)

This means you're eligible to sponsor otherwise they will not transfer/forward your application to local VO. They should've mentioned something like you have met the requirements for eligibility as sponsor in your SA letter.

Good luck :)

Thanks for the reply! The email actually did not contain anything about whether the requirements for eligibility were met. The GCKey status seems to still indicate that "Review of eligibility - We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements". The email I received is the following:

Dear Sir/Madam,

This refers to the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class you submitted to this office on behalf of XXXX and family (if applicable).

This message is being sent to confirm that the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to the visa office in Hong Kong for further processing.

Visa Office Contact Information

Should you need to submit additional information or make any further enquiries regarding the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative, you must email the visa office listed above directly using the “IRCC Web Form”. This form is found in the “Enquiries” section of the specific visa office’s link located on this page: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-where.asp

If you received this communication via email, please note that another copy will not be mailed to you.

Sincerely,
Case Processing Centre Mississauga

No, parents and siblings are not dependants for the purpose of this application.

That's what I thought too. Thank you :)

Are you sure you didn't receive any email before this for SA? Did you check both sponsor and PA's inbox or spam/junk folder? This just look like they're notifying you that they forwarded your application to local VO. But they wouldn't forward your application unless it's been approved from Sponsor's side. Do yourself a favor and check ECAS from sponsor's side using their UCI# if it says decision made from Sponsor's side then it's approved.

Hope it helps!!

My app was filed Feb 8th and I just got SA today. There is no rhyme or reason with the processing time.

Hi is the number 24/7? Or office hours also?thanks

Hi everyone, we received SA on 3/14 and have successfully linked our application online. We have yet to receive any kind of correspondence regarding submitting my Schedule A and criminal background check. Is this normal? The e-mail said we should've gotten the request within 5 business days.

PrinceOfPersia, thanks for the clarification! Fairly certain we did not receive any email for SA.

On the sponsor's ECAS for "sponsorship application status" it does say "Decision Made". Clicking into it shows:

We received your application to sponsor XXXXX on February 6, 2017.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 22, 2017.
We started processing your application on February 21, 2017.

Under the "permanent residence application status" column, it indicates "In Process". Clicking into it shows:

We received XXXXX's application for permanent residence on February 6, 2017.
We started processing XXXXX's application on March 13, 2017.

I guess I should be taking this as good news? Though I have no idea why they are not yet requesting for a medical, or anything else for that matter?
