I was just reading the new posts and I read that there are actually TWO UCI's. One for the applicant, one for the sponsor.

I've only seen one UCI (sponsor) and the application number. Maybe the magical e-mail they are supposed to have sent me has the other UCI that I need.

As far as I know the application can't be linked to two separate accounts, so seeing as it's already linked I don't know what use the other UCI would be to me.

I'm excited to blow up their phones with my calls on Monday!

Thanks a lot .. me also waiting for the update in mycic nd the email ... how long should we wait for the update in my cic .. or just calling them would be the good idea ..?

Did you check ECAS? Yeah give them a call next week and find out if they want you to send any documents.

Yeah I understand your frustration but I noticed in some cases CIC didn't send out AOR1 and note that CIC don't send out AOR1 to all the applicants. Did you get a chance to check ECAS from sponsor side using sponsor's UCI? Or try to link your application using Family name and date of birth. No harm in trying though and it's worth checking there.
I didn't know that, hmm. I'm hoping we are one of those people, hah. ;) My wife (sponsor) never went through any immigration applications before, so she does not have an UCI number. We tried linking the application through GCKey but it was unsuccessful. We will see again after a 24 hour period because we tried too many times. I'm assuming if something was wrong then we would have gotten the application back in mail already. Hopefully we will see some progress this following week.

I'm also curious how much of a difference does it make now that they changed the system a little bit to process the applications quicker. I'm guessing this was aimed more at inland applications, but it's interesting if visa offices abroad will also be much faster.

yes that's true a friend of mine just sent it at the end of January and took his email for ppr .he applied under the old application

Quick question - If we need to provide PCC's from 3 different countries, you got 2 already and waiting for the final one, can I still go ahead upload PCC's for 2 countries for now and upload the final one later when you get it from the states? Or do I have to upload all of them at the same time?

I will suggest you go ahead and uphold the 2 documents you currently have and be sure to upload the last one once you receive it to avoid any additional delays. Keep in mind that the office meant not acknowledge that they got the requested document but all document receive are processed and added to your file as the process continues. Goodluck

Hello Everyone,
Our application was delivered and signed for at mailroom according to Canadapost on February 16. Till date, we are yet to receive any update. And we will like to know if there are still people waiting AOR or SA that applied before February 16th 2017. All effort made to link the application was negative but after calling CIC, the agent I spoke to told me that the information is not in the system and maybe they have not open my package or input the information into the system. It has been over a month now and I hope it is not missing for any reason. If they sent it back to me I should have receive application back by now.

Just checking if anyone is still waiting that applied before February 16.

QUESTION :

I received AOR 2. I have already uploaded PCC and Background form on the Cic linked account.
AOR2 email has a sentence saying that "PLEASE RETURN A COPY OF THIS LETTER WITH THE REQUESTED DOCUMENTS."

Does this mean I will have to send hard copy of PCC and Bg form to my visa office ?

I would suggest submitting all together. We had 2 to submit and we scanned them into one document and once I submitted them, there was no option to upload more or additional.

Thanks tizzle :)

I uploaded 2 PCCs for now and I didn't use MyCIC because it didn't show me upload option anyways. I had to use IRCC web form and I uploaded today itself cause I read the email from CIC again and it says like this,

At this time you need to provide a police certificate for:
1) Country where you currently live, if you have lived there for six months or more; and
2) The country where you have spent most of your adult life since the age of 18.

My wife lived in states only for 2 years and I know you have to submit PCC for all the countries you lived more than 6 months. But I saw another paragraph on the same email says this,

In your online account, the system generated text in the blue box where you upload your documents may advise you that you need to submit a police certificate for any country, region or territory where you lived for 6 months or more since you turned 18. Please disregard that text and follow the instructions in this letter instead. We'll contact you if we need additional police certificates to process your application. However, if you already have police certificates for other countries, you can upload them now. It may reduce your processing time

Highlighted CIC statements just to differentiate my response from CIC's. As per this letter 2 PCC's fine for now (that's my understanding) and I will also upload PCC from the states just to be on the safer side and to avoid any delays.

Also by mistake I uploaded the documents first on the wrong category (Spouse Inland) and then I re-uploaded into the right one (Spouse Outside of Canada). I am glad I caught that as soon as I uploaded in the wrong category but I am still worried if that's going to make any impact on the process. But it has UCI and APP# on both equerries (IRCC Web form) when I submitted them.
