Well, it's been a week since we received our AOR1 and I still can't link my application which is very frustrating. I tried from my account and got my spouse to create a new account and tried from her account as well but no luck. I have no clue how to link the application at this point. I am going to call CIC to find out how to link the application. I tried both ways (Application# and UCI # & Application# and Family name) but it doesn't like me :(

I am still glad that I got SA but in the letter they've asked us to upload/submit Schedule A background declaration form. We don't know how we can upload the Schedule A form until we find a way to link the application. It also got me curious that they haven't asked us to upload Police certificate in SA only asked for Schedule A form. Can you please tell me if they asked any one of you to upload PC in SA? Or is this something only be shown in GC key?

I can check my application in ecas and it says "Application Received"

PoP, none of the linking tricks provided on the forum have helped you link up? I had to try several different strategies from the tips provided to get it linked up. It wasn't until I just left "city of birth" and "passport number" blank aside from hitting the space bar once in each one that it worked for me. Sorry to ask, I would assume at this point, you've exhausted all the options to link but wanted to ask.

Yeah I pretty much tried everything but didn't work. Thanks for asking though :)

My spouse have 2 passports (expired and renewed). All this while I've been trying to link up using renewed passport info cause logically that's what they want. Do you think trying with old passport could make any difference? I tried by not entering any info on passport fields but that didn't work either. I tried calling CIC yesterday due to large call volume they couldn't put me through. I'll try again today and keep you posted.

Did you get SA? Just curious to know. Good luck :)

I believe you will have to link the application with 7 days of AOR1, maybe after that is not an option until you call them

Give them a call and find out

Best of luck

Thanks,

You have 7 days to link your application otherwise you will have to call them.
You need access to get further notifications from them so I'd do it ASAP.

Looking at Novembers spreadsheet (https://tinyurl.com/zydfgjt) it looks like the time between AOR2 and decision made is 1-2 months.
The request for passport looks almost immediate then you get it back within a couple of weeks.

Hi,

Does everyone need to send there passport? If so, is there a deadline you must send it?
For instance, if your already out of the Canada at the time of request or have a upcoming trip booked?

The PA should have received an email indicating that they should link the application!

Cheers,

Received a request for PCC and Schedule A yesterday.

My lawyer informed me that they received a letter yesterday (by post). The letter is dated 22nd Feb and we need to submit the two docs by April 1st.

Did everyone received a letter or email for the above mentioned docs.

Yes the visa will be stamped/attached to your passport.
You may have to ask in the spousal thread to see how long after the request you must send your passport.
As with everything, if you have prior arrangements I'm sure you can ask for an extension.

I got the medical request by email only a few days ago. My medical is booked for next Thursday.

Hello
I've been working on mine for a while now. Seem to be stuck and confused about whether or not I can sponsor while I'm on a uk benefit call universal credit. And does anyone know if I can sponsor if I'm unemployed? I am the sponsor everything else has checked out about eligibility ...I have been searching everywhere for these answers ....thanks

Hello,
We received an email AOR1 and another to link the application.
We linked up the application and found the request for PCC and Schedule A in there.
Submitted both in the same day as we had them ready.

Hope this helps

Thanks,

Hi All,

I am almost done filling all the forms and collecting the documents , did not include the medicals and the PCC yet as CIC is gonna sent a request later . Was wondering if anybody know the approximate time frame as to when would CIC ask for these docs? just want to be prepared !

Thanks

You'll probably get a better answer in the March Outland Spousal Applicants

Good luck
