Tip:
When linking the account do the following (IT WORKS):
1. Logged in with GC Key account.
2. Permanent Residence > Family Class (Spouses)
2. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/pasted application number from email (including the F) and entered PA's last name.
3. City of Birth - I entered 1 space (hit spacebar once)
4. Country of Birth - Selected PA's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Did not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Filled out the other application info as per our application and put '2' as the number of members in the application. I am sponsoring my wife, no dependents.

Hi Guys when u link ur acct successfully did u receive a letter frm cic asking for schedule A background declaration and police clearance to be submitted on a certain period? Mine says submit by april 7

CIC received my outland spouse application on Feb 27th 2017, waiting to hear back from them. Hopefully very soon!

Already submitted mine, same day the request (AOR1) came in

I didn't get a request for schedule A or police clearance yet (I have both ready to upload) my AOR1 was received 2 days ago.

Take it easy, your police certificate is valid for 6 months and medical for 12months. You'll have lots of time to upload. If it expires they may just request for it to be redone. That's great that your being proactive.

I was simply asking if the request was an automated response to linking your application. The guidelines specify;

To speed up processing and avoid delays, we strongly recommend that you:
•fill out this form electronically while waiting for your acknowledgement of receipt
•make sure the form is validated
•save a validated copy so it’s ready to upload to your online account as soon as you link your application

I'm not being proactive I'm simply following the procedure.

If any idea about this

I would suggest call CIC 613.. number and talk to the agent about your file. Have you sent it with registered mail ? Give them your fees receipt number for them to locate your file. In my case I did not receive any email but the file is already in process.
