Can AOR be considered an SA already? Or will there be another email regarding SA?

AOR is just the acknowledgement your app has been received. Your SA is the approval of your ability to sponsor.

Seems as though we got our emails Feb.22.
Which is our AOR1?? or something?

In generic application form, I gave sponsor's mailing address and principal applicant is currently working in Maldives. However, in residential address I mentioned his Indian residential address (Country of citizenship). Now when I re-submitted, I kept both addresses of Maldives.

I call cic today to ask the same question above, she told me that the mailing address is irrelevant, you can put whatever you want, the file will not be returned because of that issue. As your experience is absolutely real. I am not so sure whether she is right. Anyway she assured me that the mailing address would not be a problem. Thank you.

Thanks for calling CIC. It is happening with others too. Anyways , I lost one month of time so just a heads up for people who will apply now.

Spent my lunch break cleaning up the spreadsheet which has got into an awful state.
Can we lock write permissions and have Admin only edit it? i.e. submit the data on users behalf?

We are in March now which should mean less new entries and more stability.

Hey Guys,

Who received AOR1 and SA, congratulations to them.
Who doesn't have received anything or just received AOR1, hang tight. Sooner or later we all will get that. Be positive and cross the fingers.

If you have already received AOR1 they should have asked to LINK their application. If you find trouble you may follow the below steps which will link your application.

1) Use Appropriate category: for all of us, it would be PERMANENT RESIDENCY > FAMILY CLASS (SPOUSES)
2) Use APP. No. and UCI No.: This will be the safest choice since those are the numbers given by CIC. Name or spelling may have some error like SPACES etc.
3) Use PASSPORT Information
4) Don't enter City of Birth, or Country (PASSPORT INFORMATION IS ENOUGH)
5) Enter the usual information: PROVINCE, CITY, RELATIONSHIP (common-law-partner, single, married etc.)
6) Enter the no. of Applicant: (2 for just husband+wife, if you have child add on top of it. For example if you have 2 children, it should be 2(husband+wife) + 2(child) = 4 )

In your AOR1 email it states the number of applicants to use when linking.

Received my AOR1 overnight and was able to link my application on the third attempt.

It's disconcerting to watch others seemingly skip the queue while you anxiously wait refreshing email / this forum.
From what I imagine the workload is distributed between agents and if you happen to fall into the pile of a particularly busy agent you're in for a wait.

It's promising to see the SA emails have already started coming in!

Hey,
I applied to sponsor my Algerian husband on Jan 24th, 2017. Now they are asking me to pay the RPRF & to send them a copy of his passport.
His passport expires on Dec29, 2017 ( 10 months left). Do I have to renew it??? & is it gonna cause us troubles later if we don't ?
Our application is in Paris.
