As many of you have reached at the end of your citizenship application. I am positing my question here to get response based on your experience. Regarding photographs, it is necessary to have name and the address of photographer and studio?
yes as stated in the requirements

Hello Everyone,

Finally, I have done my Citizenship test, it was quite straight forward and I got 19/20. Done my exam in 5 minutes. My advice to everyone who's test date is set to please read the book at least twice and do as much practice question.

A person who is taking interviews, He took my passports before the test to save some time. He asked all the general question, told me the Citizenship result and ask the original documents. At the end, he gave me the Oath letter of September 20.

Whoever controlling the spreadsheet, please update the oath date.

And Thanks to everyone who help me out in the whole process from PR to Citizenship application.

Good Luck Everyone,
T

Would you mind to share what online test did you use to prepare for your test?
Thanks!

As mentioned in my earlier comment, those anxious about the test MUST read the book at least once and then practice the various online sample tests. I found below to be the best resource to practice and fairly spot-on (& in the given order):
  1. http://citizenshipcounts.ca/guide (read by topic first)
  2. http://citizenshipcounts.ca/flashcards (helps remembering what you read)
  3. http://citizenshipcounts.ca/quiz (take timed tests of 20 questions and also extended tests of up to 100 questions. Very helpful.
I hope this helps. Best of luck.

Quick question on form CIT 0002 for section J : Income tax: in 2017 which option i would select under " Required to File " : Yes or no ? As per my understanding it need to be filed at end of 2017. I became PR since 2011 and filled tax since 2011

Please add to sheet....

Passed my test today 18/20 And officer told me that they need to verify my travel history and will contact me in october.
Hopefully it will be October lol

Quick update. Took my test on the 24th in surrey BC. 19/20. The interview was quick too the officer checked the travel documents and asked a few questions.

I tried to mention that there is a slight mistake on the birth place.. It is currently in the ecase as Russia when in fact it is USSR. And if they go by what is current then it should be Azerbaijan. But the officer was not really interested in understanding my request and brushed it off. I guess I will leave it alone. Kinda annoying though.

You did right - not worth wasting your time. People outside USSR do not distinguish among USSR, Russia and currently independent ex-soviet republics. We are all Russians to them. I was also born in ex-USSR and each time the issuer puts whatever they want as my birthplace country among the options you mentioned. I don't even bother because my previous attempts did not give any result.

I even have an acquaintance born in Georgia SSR and when he got his US passport the officer put Georgia, US as his birthplace. He tried to have it corrected but the officers were obviously in the total oblivion with respect to the existence of the other Georgia so he gave up.

Congrats on the test. Don't worry.
