I have never heard of a same day oath? My understanding is that you do test and interview and then you wait for decision made and after that for the invite to take oath, which can take some time.
my officemate experience it... it was stated on her letter that after the test there will be an oath taking if she pass.

I got a request for fingerprint way back in March and submitted within a few days but I've yet to receive the test invite. Anyone else experiencing a similar hold up? I'm in the Toronto area. Also kudos to anyone who's called and gotten through to the CIC contact centre. I haven't had any luck yet with being transferred to a human from the automated system.
