Haven't been on this forum since waiting on my sponsorship application back in 2012.
Decided to apply for my citizenship as soon as I could since I had some vacations going to my home country.
Here is my timeline:
- We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on February 9, 2017.
- We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on February 16, 2017.
- We started processing your application on February 22, 2017.
- We sent you a notice on March 14, 2017 to appear and write the citizenship test on May 31, 2017 at 8:30 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
So no finger prints request for me not sure if that's because I became permanent resident in 2012 and they took it then or what's going on, I'm from Europe originalyl, but I see that my test date is quite apart compare to some other applicants. Oh well anyway I'm in Hamilton, Ontario.
Read the guide book once, and was doing some online quizes hope for the best.
Does anyone know if Hamilton is doing same day oath or will it be another 2 monts or so wait for the ceremony?
