Many thanks for the info

I didn't call Mississauga Office.

I called CIC contact centre - 1 - 888 - 242 - 2100 to get the detail

T

Thanks! I'll call them.

What's more frustrating and many are probably not factoring-in is the fact that soon people will be able to apply for citizenship after completing 3 years with Bill C6 having been passed.

This will create another backlog that won't be very easy for CIC to deal with considering a surge in immigrants in recent years.

Here is my time line:
1. Application received - February 3, 2017.
2. Acknowledging receipt - February 15, 2017.
3. Started processing application - February 17, 2017.
4. Fingerprint request - March 15, 2017. Fingerprint done in March 17.
5. Test notice - May 17, 2017. Test date June 13, 2017
Congratulations

I would like to share my time line.

To all Feb applicants:

Some idiot deliberately deleted the data on the spreadsheet (it keeps happening every few weeks unfortunately). The Admins restored most tabs but I just noticed some Feb 2017 data is still messed up. Can you guys please re-add your info there?

OH NO !!! this is so frustrating .. it was such a nice tool to see where everyone is :(:(

Why do people try to experiment with the things they dont understand ... GRRHHH:mad::mad::mad:

Hi can someone please tell me about 2 dates (minimum and maximum days): on average how long it takes to receive the FP request and the test invite date after we send the initial application? Does everyone get the FP and what causes it?

Hi to all!
Passed the test last week, was easy, but you better study. I read the book 3 times, did online quizzes and passed 20/20.
Today my ecas change to DM. Wonder how long will wait for Oath.

Haven't been on this forum since waiting on my sponsorship application back in 2012.

Decided to apply for my citizenship as soon as I could since I had some vacations going to my home country.

Here is my timeline:
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on February 9, 2017.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on February 16, 2017.
  3. We started processing your application on February 22, 2017.
  4. We sent you a notice on March 14, 2017 to appear and write the citizenship test on May 31, 2017 at 8:30 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
So no finger prints request for me not sure if that's because I became permanent resident in 2012 and they took it then or what's going on, I'm from Europe originalyl, but I see that my test date is quite apart compare to some other applicants. Oh well anyway I'm in Hamilton, Ontario.

Read the guide book once, and was doing some online quizes hope for the best.

Does anyone know if Hamilton is doing same day oath or will it be another 2 monts or so wait for the ceremony?

I have never heard of a same day oath? My understanding is that you do test and interview and then you wait for decision made and after that for the invite to take oath, which can take some time.
