Got my Sponsor Approval Letter today! Wahooooo!

And now the longggg wait begins. ???

And also this is where our similarities end in terms of application timeline. Our apps will go to seperate VO over the world, some will get processed faster, while others wait, so it would be unfair to compare at this point on.

Good luck to everyone, I hope we are all joined with our spouses as soon as possible.

Hey Guys,

so i have a question. I was checking the November Forum, and there is 6 Decision Made already! Even December 1st already has a decision made!! They all are Ottawa offices, except for one, which is Sydney.

Now my question, shouldn't decision made and Passport requested come around the same time?
I mean, some of these people have had decision made for over a week, whats the hold up? I thought once the decision is made, you just send it your passport (id literally do it the same day, id run to the post office like noone has ever seen me run lol) and book your plane ticket. But maybe i'm wrong?

Yes, at least first screening, they don't see any missing files. Otherwise they will send back your documents, and you have to submit the whole application package and start the waiting game from scratch.

Thank you so much,
How long will it take for AOR2 Email.?

Yes, in a perfect world, that would be the case i.e. receiving passport request around same time as decision made. But, there are inconsistencies with ECAS and actual correspondence.

I checked those late last year applications, and found that AOR2 could come in between 1 weeks to 1 month after SA.

I believe when assessment is over, the applicant is approved. So should be the same timeline. If you look into Feb 2016 spreadsheet, avg time for SA is 44 days. So hopefully everyone will receive their SA within 40-47 days. Feb applicants have already started to receive their SA.
