after how many days AOR is received from date of application sent?

~60 days :) like Mandie said

Hello everyone,

My husband sent my package on tuesday and they received it yesterday February 17th.

I hope this forum helps each and one of us sometime during the process.

Hello again,

I was reading all your posts until now.

I noticed some of your packages were received by "R MAHMOOD" and you guys notify it here, is there any difference about it?
Mine was in fact received by him too.

Another question, I had my medical exams done about a year ago because my husband was supposed to apply last year, but various things happened and we had to put our application on hold, I'm sure I'll have to take them again but I was wondering if any of you knew if I should just wait until they send me a notification asking me to get them done again or should I just get them done and send them the paper?

I think Mahmood is a receiver or something in the CIC mailroom. Mine was received by Adam. with regards to medical, I suggest you wait till you have been asked, or at least received a file number.

"DAVID" signed for our application. I have not seen his names from others, should I be concerned? Joking.

All the best JJ628 and everyone else.

Thank you so much! For the info.

I don't know if you guys are interested about this information but I became friends a couple of months ago through a forum with a woman who married a Canadian also from my country Colombia, they were also applying for a spousal sponsorship.

Maybe you guys are interested in her process time:

  • She applied on mid October
Received the SA approval by mid December
Received her AOR2 by the ends of January
Asked for background check and pictures on Feb 15th..
If they don't ask her anymore papers her next step will probably be them asking for her passport.

I wrote back to her telling her process has been very fast (4 months so far), I don't know if all cases are the same, hopefully all of our process time go as quick as hers.

If my husband found a new job (he is the sponsored) and on my application I put he was unemployed. Could I send CIC a letter notifying them of this change?

My application was received on Feb.10th ... Not in process yet. I should be ok if I send them a letter? I shouldn't delay my application right?

Need advice, thanks !

Hey AmandaCanDR1
I think you should wait until the application is in process, just to make sure you send his new job's working letter and they can actually file them with the rest that you sent when you applied.

Thank you for helping! I do agree that it is best to wait :)

Hi Everyone!
My husband and I are just about to send in our application.
Is it possible to still choose which Visa Office to send the second part of the application to? if so... where would one indicate that?
Thanks in advance for your advice!

Hey Can-ita,
What other part of the application are you going to send to the another office though?

My husband sent ours to the office for outland applications which is:
Spouses, common-law or conjugal partner and dependent children:
