Called cic nd agent told me that my file is in process in ottawa and background check is going on. They dont need any documents for now. She told me to be patient lol. And yeah my ecas is still showing application recvd.

it has been almost a month since iv got my DM (jan-15th) no PPR yet so stressed out :-[ :-[

Those who got passport request on email, what email address is going to be showed up in email inbox?

My Dear waiting applicants ,

I called the CIC today many times today and got few important hints :- some I guessed
the files ecas : DM is showing are just being pending for the final signature of the Case Pilot ( the head of Ottawa cpc ) without his final signatures they can not send us the passport request.

Right now at cpc ottawa there is a huge back log of pending files to issue PPRs so the normal waiting time to get PPR after DM is 40 to 45 days, ( so more wait )
so my dear friend the fellows who got direct PPR are luckiest one and one who got DM are stucked in the vicious circle of long wait like me .
but seriously my friends I m so tired with this all waiting and just waiting ...

I was thinking about it too..around mid March , something like that..

CIC is making a joke out of us. One of my frnd applied in May got PPR this week. And we Feb, March appicants are stuck in limbo...at every phase they pissed us off.... :'( ...This frustration is worthless...

Hey Guys

I am planning to visit my home country as my passport is expiring in sep 2015 and if I apply for renewal from here, their processing time is minimum 2 months and from home country its just 15 days.
Q 1 - if I will get new passport I hope there will be no issue when I am coming back
Q 2- Do I get new Passport number ? or will give me the same?
Q 3- if they will give me new # do I have to give an update to CIC? before coming to Canada?

Not to be a downer - but it's definitely possible that they could end up waiting to get their passport back for a long time...
