Hi ManZZ,
I have actually applied for GCMS notes twice and nothing seems to have changed. The last GCMS notes I received on Dec. 24/2014 shows only medicals passed, the rest are "not started". At one point I was forced to contact my MP to find out if anything is wrong with my file but she got back to me saying all is well and CIC made her understand that if they need anything they will contact me directly. On Nov. 5/2014 I sent an email to CIC requesting the status of my application but I got a response on Jan. 7/2015 stating that my file is currently in the queue for an officer to review it. I only hope that if it gets reviewed PPR will follow next and not IP again.

Hi dude,

How did you contact her? Did you call the office or did you sent her an email?

I don't know if the 2 pieces of information I got today will help cushion the anxiety in the forum:

1) I received my GCMS report today . Generated a month ago. Summary below:
Appl Rec'd: 14 Feb 2014
  • Eligibility: Passed
  • Security: Not Started
  • Criminality: Passed
  • Medical Passed

Have been in IP since 21 Aug 2014. Still looks like my file is still in CIO Sydney (primary office). CPC-O is listed as secondary office (don't know what this means??)

2) I received a call from my local MP office today (who have been very gracious in following up on my application status with CIC). The nice lady told me that everything is almost set. I should expect to hear from CIC at MOST in 2 weeks. And if we don't hear from them, she will call them. She did mention something about CIC looking at files trying to determine if a medical redo is needed. That, according to her is the ONLY thing now holding the completion.

So I can only say.....the next PPR will be HUGE guys barring any medical redo for (expired medicals I guess).
Hang in there fellas and pray very hard.

Hi dude,

How did you contact her? Did you call her office or did you send her an email?

Hey Buddy,

I sent her office an email and they requested for my phone number, file number and home address. But make sure the MP you contact is the one for your area.

Hi guys, I am Feb 6 applicant and got in process on Aug 14th. Yesterday I got email from CIC for re-medical examination for my wife who is in India. Any guess if it is just normal procedure for CIC asking for medical after certain period of time or whether they start looking into the file for further process.

Hi Sanjayshekhar,

I think this tend to confirm the information Ed_nia gave last week Friday that CIC is looking into individuals files of applicant to know if there is a need for medical redo before a decision is made. I guess it is the process before a decision is made on a file. Good sign PPR is coming our way soon :p :D ;D

If that is so I think then all those who applied in first week of Feb 2014 should get ppr request....if not all at least some of them this week...finger cross.

I read somewhere earlier this month that CIC will conduct their first draw for the EE program towards the end of this month (Jan). Of course the draw marks the beginning of the official process for the new Immigration program. Meaning.....currently there is no official work for CIC regarding the EE program because no formal application has been received till date. I would expect their efforts are channeled to the already existing programs.....at least for the time being. So, YES....I am very optimistic that a big one will happen for PNP soonest.

Look at our CEC counterpart:

Medicals ought to be valid for a year. When did your wife undergo medical ?

Dear All,

I received nomination letter few days back and about to send application to CIO.

Does PNP nominee required to include IELTS with application package to CIO?

My IELTS meanwhile expired. However, as documents check list for PNP nominee, IELTS required for NOC C& D, mine is NOC B. Someone tell that valid IELTS should be attached with application package to CIO otherwise they may return back the application as incomplete.

Really confused what to do. Taking further IELTS will takes more time.

What is your suggestion? What is the experiences who already send application to CIO? Please help.

Well heres my story...

I got told by someone who helps immigrants with their applications that if I applied for PR i wouldn't need to extend my work permit. so i didn't, it expired in Oct 31 and i kept working until yesterday. I get a phone call from this same person saying she messed up and gave me wrong info and in fact i CANNOT keep working and shouldve applied for a work permit extension before my previous permit expired.

awesome! SO now I have applied for a visitors visa/restoration of status so i can stay in the country, however i can no longer work. Hoping it doesnt get denied otherwise i have to leave canada until my PR comes through!

My application received: march 17
RPRF paid: May 16
processing started: oct 2nd.
medical results received.

I am PRAYING! that is comes through fast coz i dont know how im supposed to survive with no income!

moral of the story! always call CIC for questions. Never trust anyone else with your application..

so now i wait. patiently and poorly.. :(
