Yea this is getting very interesting.
This is making sense…. Goldbank (who is also Feb 3) wrote yesterday that he received email from CIO for a new PCC. I think they have picked up Feb applications. Maplelove, Leazy, Rmk et al, get ready boys! ;) ;) ;)

I submitted my PCC from my country with application and by that time it was only 1 week old..

Hey I meant Leazy got additional police clearance request.
They requested because they wanted PCC from home i guess. If yours was one week old no worries. Mine was at least a month old when i submitted. Shouldn't be an issue.

like to be very honest the thing is CIC received my file on 24 feb so i am not expecting IP in this month but i am pretty sure it would be in first week of september. but who submit pr applications from 1st to 15th feb perhaps they will be turn into IP in this month. That's what i am wondering right now. but hope for better

I didnt submit Canadian PCC though ..but what i see as a major issue they request applicants's home country PCC

But I think this is unfair on the part of CIO or CIC. I believe a document should be deemed valid if received within the validity period stipulated by the body that issued it - irrespective of whether it's 1 month old or 1 week old or whenever they choose to start processing the application. The key emphasis here should be when did this document officially enter our custody? Was it still valid as at the time of receiving it? Take for instance a visa..... you can enter a country whose visa you have as long as the validity of the visa is still active.

You don't need to submit canadian PCC. They will check themselves. But in some cases if they are not satisfied they request for canadian ones too and in that case you will have to submit. But for now no need until requested.

I hear ya buddy but that's not how things roll with CIC. Although they consider the validity period of all police certificate is one year and if your processing doesnt end before this one year period completes, then you will be requested a new one. Everything is at CIC's sole discretion. we have no say in it :D Thats how immigration works :D
