February 2014 PNP applicant that already submitted their application to NS CIO

That makes me more nervous. I didn't get any document request since i submitted my application in February. If they request it now after waiting 6 months that would be outrageous. Damn!!! I could shoot myself now. Just want this dreadful process to be over.

You were there only for one month. i really don't think they need it..

Vacation!!
I mean if they really want it I could provide it. (they should have asked for it instead of making me wait). Right now i don't really want to spend 600+ dollars on flight tickets to go get something that i don't even know i will need or not. (Japanese embassy require me to travel to calgary to apply for it, Ridiculous) This is absolutely absurd!!! I mean if it was by mail, i wouldnt complain so much after all.

I have an extensive travel history (1 month in Indonesia, one month in Laos, one month in Thailand, also in Malaysia, over a year in Australia etc) and they didn't request any of the 1 month ones! Don't panic, just wait it out and I'm sure you'll be fine!!

I have an extensive travel history (1 month in Indonesia, one month in Laos, one month in Thailand, also in Malaysia, over a year in Australia etc) and they didn't request any of the 1 month ones! Don't panic, just wait it out and I'm sure you'll be fine!!

I almost had a panic attack when i called Japanese Embassy this morning.

My spouse at certain times stayed upto 4 months in the USA and this happened several times in several years in the past. However when CIO Sydney sent us email for additional documents in March, they only mentioned us to submit PCC from our home country. No request was made for a US PCC.
We had initially submitted our PR application with only the PCC we obtained here in Alberta having lived in Canada more than 6 months. Hope this helps to calm your nerves!

Hi how long had u lived in these countries for which police certificate was requested? Were the police certifates u submitted earlier expiring ( the ones for the requested countries) or was it the first time they requested it?

First time that they requested for it, we were confident that it was not expired yet (still a month before expiration) we will be given a consideration but they requested for an updated one.
I made all docs ready and we expect to receive all PCCs by 3rd week of this month.
And IP is coming sooooon not for me only but for all Feb applicants.

CIC as indicated in the website needs to have the PCC's not more than 3 months old.as most PCC are valid for 12 months, there is still 9 months of validity while the process ur papers.

No document that confirms PR status until you get PPR. I have been waiting since my application was received by CIC (Feb 10). NO communication from CIC after March. In March they contacted for Medical request but nothing after that. NOt yet. Ideally it should take 7-8 months from application received to PPR.

Does one’s status being In-process presupposes that the candidate has pasted the stage of expecting an further request from CIC for any additional document? Because if this is the case then it’s a major milestone in the PR process if you ask me.

Mostly yes but sometimes they can still request additional docs ( rare but true)
