This is kinda strange!
Did you ever receive the AOR letter and MR from CIO Sydney after they received your application?
Did you get any form of communication what so ever since your application reached in Feb?
The sort of scenario you are painting normally happens within the first 30 days CIO receives one's application.

No. Never received anything from them. We did alll the follow up through email and by mail. The date on the letter included on our returned papers is March 3,2014. And then we just received it june 30,2014. Received by our post office last june 25,2014. Now the manitoba is questioning us why do we need an extension letter. Im starting to get upset.

That is really strange. Don't get upset though. Your best bet is to talk to MPNP (Notre Damne, Winnipeg, MB) and explain your scenario. Explain that although CIC's letter is dated March 3, 2014, You didn't receive it until June 30, 2014. Therefore, if you didn't receive it then there was no way for you to know what they said. Regardless, now you can't resend the document because your expiry limit on MPNP letter needs extension and this is why you are applying for extension, and not because you didn't want to send the documents. I am sure they will work something out. Hang in there buddy.

Hi Cndvsa22
I asked that question. Thanks for your reply. Your friend is really lucky :)

To answer ur question, when you are reading a post and want to reply and quote that particular post, look on the right & top of that particular post. You will see a button called "quote". Just hit that button and it will automatically quote the person that you are trying to reply to. For example, I quoted your post in this reply. Hope that helps :D
Thnx prprpr.. it did help... thnx again :)

Yes my friend, do as prprpr has advised.
Also make sure to have a copy of the stamped date the mail reached your local post office. That is a very vital evidence. Obviously someone in CIO or Canada Post isn't doing their job well and it's unjust for you to be made the scapegoat.
But hang in there and keep a cool head. Nothing good comes easy!!!

There's no way i can call MPNP :( i tried one of their number and talked to someone there they dont entertain calls for inquiry:( i tried to explain my scenario. Even on the letter i received from CIO doesnt have any instruction how and where to ask for Letter of Approval Extension. Tried to send a request via email and hoping they will respond. Dont know what to do really

HI
Try calling one more time because when i was interviewed for MPNP, they told me your letter will be in mail in two weeks. But more than two weeks past but no sign of letter in mail. So i called them and some lady picked up. She was actually very nice to me and gave me all info about when they mailed out my letter. If it doesn't work, go to MPNP help center in Winnipeg and ask them to advise on this matter. I am sure they will help you.

I see two possible options for you here.
First one is: Build your case to MPNP using a proof that your returned mail from CIO reached you so so late. The stamped date on the envelope from your local post office is a handy evidence. You may even visit this local post office and see if they can give you any official note on this.
The 2nd option is to physically get to the office of your local MP and talk one-on-one with someone there. Forget about calling the MP's office, just walk in there. You may be seeking Canadian PR but you ain't in Canada illegally; so your local MP office owes you that duty to hear you out and assist you. I can't see how this delay is your fault.

Fellows, I am still scratching my head trying to figure out how CIC goes about this PR stuff. I get all the more confused when I still read about Nov 2013 or Dec 2013 applicants saying they recently got email from CIO requesting for PCC or some other docs.
Below is my journey so far:
14-Feb-14: PR Application Received in NS (RPRF included)
13-Mar-14: AOR & MR
19-Mar-14: I received another email asking for PCC from my native country (it wasn't included in the initial PR submission). The same email requested me to resubmit original Schedule A (pointing out gap they wanted me to fill regarding the various places I had resided before).
24-Mar-14: Both the PCC and the Schedule A were received according to my courier tracking.
Medical Done: 28-Mar-14
Medical Received: 20-Apr-14

By the way I applied along with family and all the demands made of me by CIO applied too to my spouse. CIO gave us 60days from the date of the 19-Mar -14 email to furnish them with the demanded docs.

Hello everyone I would be glad if anyone could help me out here, as my case seems to be taking a different turn in the sense that I applied for my permanent residency on March 26th 2014 and my file was received on 31st march 2014 by CIO Nova Scotia and my credit was charged $550 on 26th march 2014 itself.
Now according to cic I should have received a reply or an acknowledgment from them in 8 to 10 weeks, but I have emailed them like a month back about my case and haven't heard back from them which seems to be quite strange.
I tried calling cic couple of times and they said they are not the ones who can give any appropriate answer for this query. Now, as the time has passed so much I am getting nervous about it and don't know whom to contact.
If anyone could suggest something it would be great and more than help.
Thank you

Sumitsra,
I haven't heard a thing from CIO since April 20 when my medical was uploaded. I have emailed Sydney to at least confirm receipt of the documents but no reply.
