Guys i dont know but it seems like a few friends arent aware about how to update their profile on canadavisa. Com.
Just go on your canadavisa.com account at the top left you will see profile tab click on it and then you will see forum and profile information to your right just click on it and fill the following updates and click in save.
By doing this you need not have to keep on updating your cic status again n again.
For example you can see under my profile of surrey100 like category, vida office , etc in this way it would be easy for everyone to keep a track timelines.

Write the same UCI which you wrote on your generic application form.
If you applied for TRV and you have UCI, you can use this UCI because they will put ur PR application under same UCI. UCI is a number to identify you not just your application.
If you didnot write any UCI on generic application form then i believe they will create new UCI for you. I personally think that not mentioning your UCI is like lying to them. By one way or another they will figure out that your application has been rejected for TRV. SO there is no point in not UCI, I think

My wife had a rejected TRV too but we mentioned the UCI for her and they put her application under the same UCI as we mentioned.
Also, we mentioned that my wife's TRV was rejected and we provided them with the details why it was rejected.
It worked for us.

I agree with you. There is no point lying. The reason for my refusal was not based on crime, drugs nor terrorism. It was based on the fact that the VO is not convinced I would leave Canada after my temporary stay so I gladly put it.

Experience has shown that TRV refusal has minimal impact on PR if the reasons aren't security issues.

I have put my UCI in form already. Just trying to complete my receipt.

Thanks

hi prprpr,

just wondering if you applied again a visa (TRV) for your wife? I mean after your P.R application under processing.
because last year, my wife's TRV refused with the same reason.. and now this year our p.r application is under process too?

any idea if we should try for trv again or not?

No bad idea!!! Do not apply for TRV. It will get rejected again because now that you applied for PR, now u can not prove at any cost that you will leave Canada. Better to wait for PR. IT should be here in few more months anyways. I know waiting seems forever but this is the best bet.
Good luck!!!

Hi gambler_2006
November applicants have started to get IP the first week of June. It is moving forward in snail pace. May be we will get IP, and DM and passport request somewhere from october - december. That's me being optimistic.
