I don't think your case is taking longer than usual. Some people are lucky to get early test and oath but most people average waiting is 10 months. So hopefully before January you will get your test and oath invite. Some cases takes longer time based on background and profile like me. So keep the hope up.

ATIP shouldn't delay processing of your file. I have seen lots of people ordered ATIP and no one complain about delaying.

Thanks. I have not received the notice in the post yet, so I am not sure what my local office is. I assume it should be Scarborough as my wife had hers there. And this is my timeline:

Application received: February 5, 2014
Processing started: March 18, 2014
AOR and booklet received: March 31, 2014
Received line disappeared: June 13, 2014
Test date: October 29, 2014

Got the test invitation letter today for Oct 28th at Scarborough. Ecas updated with the same info.

Application filed: Feb 27th, 2014
Fingerprint requested: Aug 14th, 2014
Fingerprint received by CIC from RCMP: Aug 25th, 2014.

So the turnaround time for reviewing the fingerprint results and sending out test invitation at Scarborough CIC is under 2 months at the moment.

Hi Natniel,

I have the same timeline as your wife. My local office is Edmonton. I am not expecting a test invite until late next year because our local office is slow.

Finger print request July 22nd
Test September 2nd
Oath was October 18

Journey complete! Now to apply for my passport ...phewww

Also, so that everyone is well aware. I had a finger print request which would have put me in the " non traditional" application cohort - however it was processed just as fast and the whole thing from start to finish was 7 months! So if you get a finger print request DO NOT PANIC!

We received our Citizenship certificates in the citizenship ceremony at the Mississauga office on October 31st
My time line
Application Office- Mississauga
Applied - Feb 2014
Test Invite- Aug 2014
Test and Interview- Sept 2014
Oath Invite - Oct 2014
Oath- Oct 2014

Start to Finish- 8.5 months

Finally the journey is complete.. What a relief!!!!
