Hi guys,
Isn't it surprising that people are getting medical on weekend specially on Saturday?
Up till now many of us got medical request on Saturday.

It's all Interface batches which run on some periodic basis.
So no surprise on this

Not necessary, All these batches are pre-schedule. these batches trigger on specified time.
There are scheduler which use to run interface batches . :)

guys, need a quick help. is it normal to get MR and RPPF through separate email with complete different date or both of the request come together. Together meaning not on the same email but very close date & time to each other.

Currenlty i just received my MR and no email on RPRF payment. Saw it on the forum that few of the fellows get it on teh same date or within the gap of a day or two. So just wondering which one is most common?

Please guide.

Hmm let me relax you , none of the Jan applicants have received an official RPRF request as far as I know , correct me if I am wrong Jan Applicants , Mostly all have them have paid it upfront once medical is been updated in ecas . Same here i paid upfront ;D

I know some people get it along with MR , and some might get it Later and I guess its normal .

Thats fine.

You receive MR once you pass eligibility, and RPRF when you pass background check/Security check. So dont worry you will receive RPRF soon. :)

Background and Security check are different , PPR is requested only when Security is passed , I don't know about RPRF though may be background as Goku said.

PPR is requested when they have received RPRF and Medical (approved by CIC). Background Check and security check are kind of same.

I am afraid my friend , You have a Wrong understanding , In that Case i would have got PPR by now as I am done with both.

Background check is done by visa post processing application with cooperation of visa posts where your education and experience credentials are from - this task verifies your claims and authenticity of documents.

Security check is done by Canadian intelligence and security agencies, with or without cooperation of proper authorities in countries you lived/stayed in, and it is done completely independently from CIC - CIC only gets result, which will be positive or negative, without any explanation (as it is classified). This task looks deep into your life, activities and associations to find out if you are/were involved or are/were associated in any way with anyone who is/was involved in espionage, terrorism, organized crime, radical movements, crimes against humanity, war crimes, etc..

Criminal check looks into your police certificates and verifies with relevant countries to see if you have a criminal record that may make you inadmissible to Canada.
