Thanks a lot! And thanks for sharing the website. ::)

Hey Toby I need your help. When I applied for my CEC I didn't had an UCI for my wife so I left that section blank. But, now have her UCI; how can I update that to CIC please advise?

You don't have to update CIC with her UCI. As CIC issues UCIs they can also look it up if they have to.
However, if you still want to send them her UCI, use the instructions on my website

and write them an email with her information.

Hi, I have a quick question. I had my PCC translated from my home country. The translator has attached their license with it and put a stamp on it saying that they are certified translators. Would the trabslation be acceptable by CIC?

I was wondering do I have to get my PCC translated in Canada again or do some kind of cerification/notarization before I send it to CIC.

Thanks.

That is not a big problem. You can ask any of your friends to sign it. My friend signed for me and UK police never called to verify. As long as your documents are in order and you have no criminal record in UK you should be good.

Guys..

Seems like I'm stuck in applying the PCC from UK. In UK PCC form it is mentioned to endorse the photograph who has known you for a minimum of 2 years, but I have been in Canada for last 1.5 yrs. Also, mentioned that the endorse person can get any calls from UK Police to verify.

Can anyone share the experience with the same scenario or do we really need to get the photograph endorsed?

Thats right. I applied for a PCC from UK as well. you can ask anyone in the world with a credible occupation (as listed in their form) to sign your photograph who has known you for more than 2 years. That person can be from anywhere and you do not need to be present in person for them to sign the photo. Read the fine print. It says so clearly

A question for the more experienced members:

When are we likely to see the ECAS (I think that's the right acronym??) switch to "In Progress"?

Usually around the time you receive the MR.

No one would able to say a definite time or date. Based on recent avg. I would say after 7 to 8 months

I've that in some spreadsheets that it gets updated when you get your Med Request. But that may not always be true. But that's a good ball park to go on.

Thank you both for such an insanely fast response! For some reason in my head I thought the switch to "In Progress" might be a way point between now and the MR. Sigh...I was just hoping for some confirmation every few months that things were going according to schedule, haha!

Folks I have a question, my NOA and my T4 both has different amount of my annual income. The reason is because I worked at two places, the second place where I worked was not permanent actually I was just helping them when ever they needed help. And I had an exact same duties and position on both of the places. Which I did not mention anywhere in my forms as I never worked other than my primary place. I just saw a post on other thread that one applicant's file is on under review due to his NOA and T4 amounts are not matching. Please advise.

did you mention the other job in your schedule A and 8??
