If it is straightforward, it shouldn't take as long as it would if it wasn't

What usually delays them though is if they find anything that they feel may not be genuine in your relationship, or if you forgot to add something into the application and they request for you to send it to them... Or I guess something along those lines...

Before filing my application I got one paid session with a reputable immigration consultant, and she said times seem to vary
a lot, and more correlated to how the application is organized and how straight forward the case is.
And not so much about which office it went to~
So she had very fast cases even in offices that are estimated to do long reviews.

So what we did was spending extra couple of weeks to make application and supported docs as perfect as we can,
all labeled, with title lists, contents index, printed pics on paper with labels, organized folders by events eg. first meeting, engagement, etc
Almost no staples, mostly paper clips.. and yada yada to obsession We're both 1st marriage, same native language, no kids, lots of pics, parents letters,
so I hope it goes smooth and all preps pay back... my hopes are to get PR by end of the year~

More or less most of us have made near perfect packages, so personally I am not worrying for the contents.
Yeah I guess the VO's will finish faster those apps that are straight forward in terms of the couple's relationship!

Congrats to everyone who got their AOR and SA this week.
It's almost midnight here in Paris, so I would like to say Happy monday, and hopefull it's gonna be a great week for all of us still waiting ;D

My application and supporting documents weighed 13lbs. included lots of big clips and two dozen sheet protectors and three large bubble wrap envelopes for each section.

If they grade by weight do I get a pass mark?

You beat me, my package was only 12 pounds!! If they assign PR's based on weight of pacakges we should be at the top of the list.

Mine was at 1.087 kilos so that's a bit over 2lbs. Wondering what did you put inside to have it weigh so much?

Hey don't worry about the staples! It happened.Just put it behind you. They cannot have any grounds on refusing an app because of the staples! You will get your SA soon!

WELCOME ABOARD!! Gary normally updates the spreadsheet but he is on vacation starting today. Sweden will be popping in to update stutus for us so I'm sure she will catch your post and get you added to the spreadsheet. Good luck on your process.
