I know. I'm trying for an IEC visa right now as I found out I'm eligible do keep getting all these immigration and iec emails haha.

Hey Gary,

How did you get on with applying for the IEC visa yesterday? - Did you get a WTN number and wire your 100 GBP? My girlfriend did both and just waiting for them to approve they received the funds (apparently take 2 days for international transfers as opposed to within UK)

Also, in regards to her PR application, I have been tracking it like mad online and hoping it should arrive today, its been processed at facility in Mississauga. Once I know they have it, I can relax! ;D

Yeah. All done and wired. Hoping it works out. If not its no sweat but worth a try. They refund it if it gets denied anyway so nothing to lose.

I'm a Canadian citizen (by birth)
And, I sent in my application on February the 5th 2013!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sponsoring my husband ..who is now in Egypt.

But I haven't received any response yet ... I don't even know if they have received the application.

So I am going a bit crazy...
How long do I have to wait before they actually send me a letter/email to show that they have it?

And also...from what I've read from this post..it seems that it didn't take a full 55days for them to check over it..?

Btw.. what does AOR and SA stand for? I'm new to this! lol

AOR = Acknowledgement of Receipt
SA= Sponsorship Approval.

For the AOR, the last few weeks has been very quick, people have been getting their AORs in around 2 weeks after sending the package to CPC.
On February 20, CIC just updated their website and from 55 days, Stage 1 (SA) is only 21 days.

If you would like to see the spreadsheet that we have for February 2013 applicants, you could check it here http://tinyurl.com/Feb-2013-FCV. You will have an idea when to expect your AOR and SA.
Btw, AOR is usually sent in your email if you provided one. So make sure you check your email (regularly) and check your junk/spam mail as well as it might have been moved there.

I'm positive Gary will be happy to add your name in the spreadsheet.

Yes you can. Atho, you will not really see much there, just the fact that they received your application as a sponsor and your partner's application for permanent residence.

I have been checking my ECAS everyday too after the day I got my AOR. LOL

Did you receive a confirmation of delivery from the post office or the courier service when you sent the package?
