Hi Everyone,

Quick question for you, My husband and I have all our documents ready to go for our application, but have just been told we don't have the English test until 27th April... any pointers on where/how you got your English tests?

We are from England and English is our first and only language

We are from England and English is our first and only language

To prove your language skills, you must take a language test given by an agency that is approved by CIC, and include the results with your application.

You must

- Arrange for testing by an approved agency. You will have to pay the costs.
- Include the results of your test with your immigration application. If you do not, we will not process your application and we will send it back to you.

Do not ask for your language test result to be sent to the Centralized Intake Office. Submit your original test along with your application.

hehe, well, I spent 4 as a student (also worked first on campus and then off campus), then I received a 2 year post-graduation permit. Then, once I had 2 years of experience (we're now in 2009), it took me some time to apply. I did apply in 2010 under the old system, and when I went to the second step, they had added an english requirement (which I don't disagree with), but the next test available to me (I was living in a small town) meant that the results would come in after the deadline to submit them, so I had to withdraw the application. Then it took me about another year to get my stuff together and re-apply. Sadly, I had to re-write the english test (I've been bilingual since I was a toddler lol, and I went to school here) because it went beyond 2 years.
Anyhoo, fingers are now crossed, and this should be it.

I'm planning to apply under NOC 2174. Here's my job description from my employment letter:

- Analyzing existing applications
- Designing Software
- Coding & testing application programs for e-Commerce & other Internet applications
- Documenting changes/requirements
- Implementation and post-implementation support

Please let me know if this is OK.
