I think it completely depends on the information in the letter. If critical info is missing, then I would send the letter. However, if the question is regarding interpretation of duties, I would wait. Again, more info from the OP would help.
Yep. Agree with spookyb's reasoning here. If they dont have anything on file for you that has detail about your job, you can alread send and say that employer finally agreed. But if they already do, then I would wait and get GCMS to see where they stand. If they call it into question, then you send an updated letter. If everything is fine, then leave it alone.

hio everyone,
thanks for the replies. i am starting to panick and doubt every single document i sent lol. my letter had the description needed but notthe salary and weekly hours but i attached my contract from my job that has every little detail about what they asked as a supporting document.

i just ordered my GCMS notes through their online application and it is very easy :)

Since you haven't sent a letter before, you should definitely send it if you can.
My employer refused again stating that currently I am not in Canada. I am still with the same organization in India. I don't know what should I do next :(

My GCMS notes came by this morning, and it is basically the same one. It hasn't even updated with the results of my RCMP clearance. It's making me wonder if I should call and confirm if they even added it to my file successfully.

It was generated four days ago.

That sucks! I've been holding off applying for GCMS notes because we've seen no movement in the Feb tracker for a while. Maybe in another couple of weeks...

Generated just 4 days ago? GCMS notes are generally generated immediately after a request is made and released to the requester after 30 days. Good that they are generating the notes close to the sending date.

Feb applicants should start getting MR, RPRF starting this month end, once backlogs are cleared. If you check Dec and Jan trackers, lot of folks got RPRF and MR in the last few weeks.

Aaaaah cr*p....again! I was so hopefull that this round would have at least something. I take it there werent any notes at the end? I should have mine in a few days, but after reading this....dont see the point. Unreal - its taking 11 months to just take a look at the file. If I at least had a sense of what the VO was thinking...review or recommend, anything really.

I guess realistically, DEC is when we should see some notes pop up.

WORD! :D

But again, these are federal workers, who have ZERO incentives for working harder, better and faster. So let's have ZERO expectations folks, this way you have zero disappointment ;)

I remember a few weeks back, several peeps on this forum literally "shouted/yelled" at me for complaining about the length of CEC processing, stating that getting PR is a "blessing" or something of "that sort". I think some people should think MUCH better of themselves...We are all human beings after all!

I personally know that Canada is way better off with me in working here, than with me working FOR another country.

So, stop putting yourselves down folks...

Now let's go back and wait forever for some news... 8)

Understanding self-worth or self-actualization is different from being conceited. I'm glad you think Canada is "way better off with you working here" but unless you're an astronaut or perhaps a neurosurgeon you're probably not indispensable. There are probably at least a thousand people who are patient, willing and able to take your position. So until becoming a Canadian citizen or permanent resident becomes a right in the constitution, I'm sorry it's a privilege, whoever you think you are or however you think of it.

Lol, it doesn't have to be either guys. No need for this argument cus its really pointless. Lets try to help people and get back to what the forum was created for in the first place, support. Its a privilege in a sense, but I can also see why Salmo doesn't think it is. You can't force your oppinion on someone else. Either way, it is what it is.

Well it's obvious why we're here, we're aware canada is a good place to be, economy strong good place to bring up kids etc etc

However .......

It doesn't mean you have to drop your trousers, get on your knees, what ever term you wanna use. That ain't me and never will be!!

Greetings all,

I was just hoping someone could help me with time frames.

I applied for CEC back in February. At the beginning of October I received my medical request and for about the last 3 weeks my online status on the CIC website says 'Medical Received'.

I am from a visa exempt country (United Kingdom) and I paid my Permanent Residency fee at the start when I originally sent the application.

Is everyone else more or less at this stage? Do we know how long or what the next steps will be?

Kind regards,

Pete
