Sis, how many days did it take for Visa to arrive from your DM?

Iniisip ko kasi na i-book na ticket is December 9, ayaw ko pa naman sana magbook until andian na talaga ang Visa.

Hi all!

I am a newbie here and the informations are overwhelming, I don't know which thread to go for my questions.

Unlike you guys whose application are already sent, I am still in the process of completing all the documents required. And since I saw in this thread the word "MANILA" I was hoping at least someone can help me or assist me with the questions I have in mind regarding the application process.

Just to give you a brief background, I am currently working as a TFW in Calgary and my work permit expires on July 2014. I recently got married to a Canadian citizen and although I am qualified to apply under CEC or AINP, I chose the sponsorship as been told that the processing takes a lot faster compared to the rest.

I opted to apply Outland and while going through some questions on the checklist, i got confused by the police certificates and clearances requirements. I have already applied for the police certificate in Calgary and i have it already, but someone told me that i should also send the one coming from Manila which comes from NBI. So, does that mean i need to obtain an NBI clearance from Manila and a police certificate from here?

As for the medical certificate, i assume that i can just attach the receipt and information sheet the physician has provided me, since the result will be sent directly to CIC?

I would appreciate any clarification or help or opinion and idea on this concern.

hi blissy, here's the link in getting a police certificate even though ur here in Canada: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/philippines.asp and i think this form : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/PC_LetterA_e.pdf is the form that u hav to bring with u when ur applying for one.. and as for the medicakl receipt, yes they will send it directly to CIC but ur right about attaching a copy of receipt or info sheet in ur application

Wala naman sila priority if Canadian or PR ang sponsor sis. May nabasa ako na kapag foreigner ang asawa mas chinecheck ang genuiness ng relationship esp that they came from different culture, but as long na comprehensive ang relationship proofs nio, wala dapat maging delay

makikisali lng po..citizen po ang hubby ko and may 2 dependents(filipino) po ako na accompanying..
so meaning it doesnt matter kung PR o citizen ang sponsor o whether you have dependents o wala..naging smooth naman po ang takbo ng application namin..
its a case to case basis, so depende na lng sa completeness ng application at sa VO na naghahandle ng case cguro!

rowdboat i guess ur right in a way na medyo matagal ang processing pag citizen compared to PR...kelan pa kaya nila bigay mga VISA'S natin...hilong ihlo na kami nang mga anak ko sa mga aftershocks dito sa Cebu...
