Quick question...does anyone know how long they give you to travel once you get your passport back??

Actually his wife (rairaiken) posted that she landed. Look back to her post on April 4th at 3:59pm.

Hi, actually I'm here. Although calling my stuff "rants" is rather rude and uncalled for, whatever resentment you feel.

We were busy, but we're happy, and to all those who can benefit from our story, here it is.

She landed March 26, and we got the visa March 18. (together)

Story was like this:

They asked us to re-do the entire medical. I broke down and got a short-term disability from work and went straight to the Philippines. While I was there, we booked an appointment to re-do the medical, but the clinic was very skeptical since she just did a re-assessment. So they called the Visa Office, I called my MP which also called the Visa Office, so they had 4 people bombarding them (clinic, MP, my wife, myself). A few days later we get a message saying "OK we are issuing you a visa" and they actually APOLOGIZED for some delay.

We got it on the 18th, changed my travel return date and booked a ticket with my wife, we landed late evening March 26.

No, but I'm here... I just had a hard time after I broke down, even after getting a visa. But I'll never forget you guys so I always wanted to come back and here I am... <3

Although I did need some time to recover, and I'll never forget how miserable we were treated. My wife's friends are experiencing issues worse than ours. Such as money that CIC received that they claimed they never received even though they sent letters of acknowledgement of receipt.

Beware how you deal with CIC, they are inhuman...!

I m a applicant of feb 2012 under FSW category. Medicals were sent by cop Ottawa for me nd my family for pr in Canada on may 5, 2012. After that till now no response. Day before yesterday when I saw the online status of my application it went in quoting ( application under process since 12 April 2013. What does it mean?? My medical has already expired. Can anyone guide me what should I do? :

In process means they are working on your application, as for your medical, i am not sure how the FSW category works sorry!

Oh come on - anything with tons of cursing is a rant. I'm not being rude. I feel no resentment and I've always been sympathetic to your complications. I'm actually very, very happy for you. I'm sorry you broke down and I'm sorry for all the challenges you faced. I just thought it was kinda funny after all the time we have talked in this thread you never told us she landed. I wish you all the best.
