Congrats TS!!! It's nice to see that there is light at the end of the tunnel of needing to re-submit papers!

It's getting very sad still seeing our name in white on the spread sheet so I'm hopping with you getting good news this week so will we!

hey mameelynn,

Hope your file gets processed soon, did you get the confirmation ( either by post or from CIC) that the new package was received? Hope that you won't have to wait too long - this week or next is yours for sure!

good luck,
Sweden

Thanks Sweden! We just got the confirmation from UPS that it was signed for on June 19th, nothing from CIC so far... We are trying to keep our sprits up with positive thoughts but that is really hard to do especially when they had a long weekend... It seems to take CIC a lot longer to recover from holidays! Our kids were so cute about Canada Day, they all had their Canada t-shirts on from grandma and were like "so are we going to Canada today mom?" Hopefully we will be all settled in up there long before next Canada Day!

Oh that is so sweet. Have your kids been to Canada yet? It must be really hard when you have excited kids asking all the time! My toddler hasn't a clue.

well now they have opened april so I'm sure they'll finish up on your application very soon, to be done with all february applicants... but indeed it must be hard with kids... you'll be settle there before a year for sure! you have a fast VO ( well now Buffalo is closed so most likely you will be sent somewhere else), and hopefully your stage 2 doesn't last for too long! good luck!

Thanks guys!! Yeah we are just trying to keep our chins up. None of our kids have been to Canada yet. They have seen it though...lol We live in the Seattle area and took a trip up the coast and stayed in the border town there. We made the kids wave at Canada and it was so funny because it was raining where we were but on the Canadian side of the border it was sunny... like God smiling down on Canada... maybe I was (and am) just a bit home sick but it was pretty funny! I'm not fully sure how much the kids understand about the move. I think our 5 year old pretty much gets it and the 3 year old gets that we are going to be having a big move but the last time we moved he was a baby and our little girl has lived at the same house her whole life... It's going to be quite the move and I'm just hopping that we can get all settled in when it's not full on winter because living in Seattle area we get like 2 days of snow all year and it still only gets down to about -5C so winter will be a huge change for the family!

OHHHHHHH congrats TS!!!! Better late than never....
that was an awesome post....Good luck on stage 2

Good Friday Morning Everyone,

My wife got her PPR email today from New Delhi VO. I was starting to get worried as it had been 6 weeks from the date of the approval/file transfer. The PPR letter (attached PDF to the email) is dated June 18, 2012 but it was received by us only today.

Does anyone know how long the PCC is valid for? My wife's Indian PCC was granted in 3rd week of January 2012 - almost 6 months now. I am not sure if we have to get a new PCC and attach it to the passport?

Also, I have paid her PR fee along with the sponsorship fee at the time of application. Is it recommended to attach a photocopy of that receipt at the time of submitting the passport?

Thanks.
