So, let me get this straight. CIC-M is overwhelmed, so it's taking them forever to finish February applications. A lot of March applications were transfered to CIC-O because they are not as busy...this is the reason why March applicants are getting approval before February. Totally unfair! Why not transfer February applications to CIC-O? Why March?

The big question I have is whether they are going to transfer April applications to CIC-O??? If so, it's good because they will process faster...but how or when we will find out is anyone's guess!

I hope CIC-M gets with the program and processes the rest of February ASAP! They shouldn't be made to wait sooooo long! 90 days? Yeah, right! It's more like 4+ months!! And this is only stage 1 which is a no-brainer!

i don't know if this info is researched enough FS so don't worry it's more speculation!! if u followed the Jan thread closely as me, u would see that some were transfered to Ottawa some were left to Missisauga, so they do that since the beginning of the year; i know it does not make sense but 2 applications in Ottawa sent one day apart were finalized in weeks apart; same for appl sent to Missisauga; some Jan were still waiting while Feb ppl started to get approval; it does not mean something is wrong with a case or an application was lost, it's really up to each officer; i know it's hard the wait, but the approval will come, u'll see!! :)

I can inform all of you that I only had a few months worth of proof and 35 pictures. Plus joint accounts and what not my file was no bigger than about 40-50 pages and I got approval it's not the quantity but the quality of proof that matters.. 1 every month or few months is very sufficiant it shows constant communication they look at the date and name i doubt they read anything. Hang in there everyone will get approved
Depends a lot where your spouse is applying from. You may need more proof if your spouse is from a country that is flagged for fake marriage.

Thanks, missmini.

I just wished that CIC would make the detailed process fully transparent. There is no excuse for the way they are currently managing things. Obviously, the leader of CIC is incompetent himself, otherwise this wouldn't be happening. And what really annoys me is that I am a Canadian citizen, born and raised...I (we all) deserve better than this!!

I guess deep down I know everything will work out...all I want is to know what the hell they are doing and why everything is so messy and disorganized!!

Honestly, this is what you'd expect in a developing country...not a first world country!! It's so embarrassing! I actually feel shame when I discuss all these things with my wife...I told her that everything in Canada would be a lot more organized...what's that they say about a foot and a mouth?

Agreed. Since Southern China is a region with a high number of fake marriages, we decided to send 160 pics and loads of other supporting evidence. The pictures go all the way back to 2005 to present. We wanted a good representation of our relationship.

Hopefully the proof we have all submitted will be enough to satisfy even the pickiest of VOs!

So just got off the phone with CIC, spoke with a friendly lady named Sonya. Advised they are still working on applications received February 15th :( I told her that some people have received approval letters for applications filed in March and that I was concerned so she tried looking my file up by my receipt #, name and date of birth and advised that it was not in the system and that I should call back in two weeks. Do I need to be worried? Today is 14 weeks or 100 days since they received my application.

You don't need to be worried. This is happening to a lot of people. You will get approval soon!

Thank you for your kind words. I just feel so helpless and out of control and I am not used to that!!! :P

Hello! i am also february applicant. my application was received on February 7th 2012.. and now is 6th june! on cic.gc.ca i can see that they got my medical results, but there is still no answer from cic... i am being processed as family class sponsorship, dependent children... does anyone have any idea when will i receive an answer? thanx very much and i wish luck to you all!

I would think that if you can see on CIC that your medical were received then you have been approved. I can't even log into CIC so that means they haven't even opened my envelope yet.

Medical results received? What do you see when you login to ecas under sponsorship application? Usually medical received isn't seen until the visa office has the application.

My approval letter never arrived and it was mailed 3 weeks ago. So perhaps yours was lost too.

I think canadiangirl78 is probably right. As at today my application is not in the system and like chickie72 cannot obtain any info online. I would definitely be giving CIC a call because it sounds good!!!!

when i log on the cic.gc.ca ( type informations about myself and etc, i get a new page, and it says Application Received (underlined) when i click on it it says : '' We received *** *********'s application for permanent residence on February 7, 2012.

Medical results have been received. ''

Just like that... you think i should call them and ask? i called them 2 weeks ago and they said that it is still being processed on, and in a maintime the site was updated they were working on applications received on 15th fabruary (until it said '' we are working on applications received on february 7th) AND THEY ALSO SAID that in future my lawyer should contact them, not me...

Call your lawyer asap and ask him to call!!!! If your application was received Feb 7/12 and they are working on Feb 15/12 (according to website) then definitely call and inquire.....it will not hurt and will give you peace of mind.......apparently the call volume is less on Thursday's and Friday's so yes get your lawyer to phone and you will be able to enjoy your weekend!!!

Are you using the UCI or file number?

Does it say application received under Sponsorship App?

I always thought medical results received went under Permanent Resident App.
