I posted this already in the London VO thread but also putting it in here!

Good news about my application - Two days ago I sent off a case-specific enquiry to confirm that CIC had received my second batch of medical furtherance information, and to check if it had been reviewed yet. I had the following response:

The information was received and your medical assessment has been completed. We will soon proceed towards finalising your application and issuing your Confirmation of Permanent Residence Form.

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

It's such a relief to know that the medical is completed, and since I know from my GCMS notes that everything else is assessed and completed, I'm good to go as soon as they pick up my file again! So happy!
congratulations

How did you get them to answer you?
They ~never~ answer my wife and she did almost 10 CSE's so far. What did you ask them???

I'm seeing a lawyer tomorrow. $150 just for a consultation.

I am still in shock and trauma seeing everyone get their VISAs while ours is stuck in the nether... I'm just in complete disbelief others are rolling smoothly without a hitch like a "send and forget" thing and they wake up with a VISA on their passport... while we are just hanged over and over again with no end to the disaster in sight...

I hate all of you...

Hey all! I also sent a CSE out over a week ago and I did hear back from CIC today... They told me that Ottawa processing time is 10 months and that I'm still within that... Not really the response I was hoping for but unless it was them saying "oh sorry we just happen to have your file right here and we were about to send you PPR... our bad...sorry about how lame we are and how we need to fix all of CIC" I wasn't really going to be crazy about what their email said to me :P but we will keep our fingers crossed that they had to at least pull our file up to the top and blow all the dust off of it so just maybe they will open it and get on with our approval....lol

I said... Additional medical information for my application was requested on 6 August and was submitted on 11 September. Please advise if this information has been received by the medical section and if it has been reviewed.

That was it. But as I mentioned in my PM to you, I'm only at 50% success rate for actually getting answers from them. I got lucky with this one.

It's outrageous that they aren't responding to your wife. I can understand if people write messages being impatient and wondering what's taking so long, but in your case there are actual PROBLEMS you're trying to resolve and get answers about. It's really shoddy.

That is true :) What did you do to get their response? I usually get the automatic response unless I do a change!!!

Here's what I sent and the subject was 'Processing Times"

Hello,
I'm writing this in regards to my husband's, B, application for permeant residency. Our UCI is ******. I was wondering if our file is still in Ottawa or if it will be transferred to the Seattle office like we selected on our original application from before the closure of the Buffalo office. We do not currently live in Canada so we are unable to contact through the call center to find out and this is our only way of communication for information. Seeing how there isn't a time frame for the Ottawa office on CIC's website for processing times I'm unsure if we are currently over the 80% time frame. Thank you for your time and looking into our case.
Sincerely,
A

Yeah I don't know if they got my snarky-ness with the comment about not having Ottawa on the website but it was totally behind my words...lol

I really hope that you are talking to CIC and not the people in the forum.....not all of us have gotten our PPR's and Visas......my VO just got my application finally in October and the timeline is 16 months so I fully expect to still be sitting in the forum for another year....not everyones cases are straight forward and not all VO's are so quick.

Hi chickie72: How do you know your file was transferred on OCTOBER intead of June, 2012? I am curious to understand the whole 'unknown' process of CIC. Because it does NOT make sense to me to transfer the file, it takes 8/9 months from Mississauga to Jamaica! I am so puzzled. Thanks.

chicke72's file was missing some documents and they did not get sent in until September of 2012.....she received her approval in October of 2012

Thanks KJG! To further explain, i got my AOR in june and 4 days later i got my application back due to missing documents and resent back in as KJG stated.........as you know the process time on the individual VO starts from when the VO receives your file, saying they received my file approximately the end of October and the process time for Kingston is 16 months......well I guess you can see why I will still be here next year >:(

Hold the faith and believe......that is all you can do in this process.
