But some visa offices don't want the medical at first. How long would it take for the file checkers to check every single file for VO specific requirements? Plus all the supporting evidence? Too long IMO. It is on us to follow directions. And if we make a mistake it's only a 3 week delay. Ya it sucks but it's not their fault.

Yes it sucks but what can you do. I knew there was a chance of getting it back. I just figured they would send it back at the beginning like some people got theirs sent back but a so it goes! I am going down to Jamaica on July 13th and if I have to drag my hubby by his ears, we are getting this all done so I can bring it back with me. CIC actually sent me a self addressed label with the officers name on it so it will go directly back to him/her when I mail it back so at least I won't be waiting the 4 months again (I hope!) I didn't send it in in the beginning because I had the application all done when my husband was sent home on Feb 17th so I just collected the rest of the money (had to wait for payday lol) and mailed it February 27th, that is why it went without the medical because he was actually in Canada.

I have to call CIC tomorrow because it is saying it all has to be back by june 21st which is a mistake of course so i have to see when it is actually due by.

Well it is good you are on your way down to see him....tell him to phone and book the appointment now so there is no issue when you get down there.......he will have to get his pictures for the medical and then when they complete it you get one back and the rest goes to the VO right away.........

Actually, it doesn't go directly to the VO. First it is sent to the regional medical office. After they check it or do whatever it is they do, the results are sent to the VO. Not that that makes any difference, as the results will surely arrive by the time the VO starts processing the file.

so what do you get from the medical office to submit with the app if it isn't the medical itself?

Sorry...you'll get a copy of the medical form...I meant that the DMP will send the results to the regional medical office after you have finished the medical. Then the medical office will review the results and forward whatever it is they forward to the visa office responsible for processing the application.

The copy you get should be yellow...that's the one you need to send.

Hey at least yours had the return label! Ours came back and it said it would have an addressed envelope and it didn't! So I just sent it all back to the Mississauga office and I was trying to call the number on the letter but because I'm in the US I can't even call to make sure they got it other than the fact that I paid to have it need to be signed for again! I have been trying to find an e-mail or fax number to contact them before the 7th when I had to have it back to them.. On top of that my UCI still isn't working so I'm in the dark! :'(
At least there are 3 of us in this lame boat! The crap thing for us is that my in-laws kinda like the delay and that drives me nuts!!!! >:(

Ours was white. But you will get a small slip of paper with your husband's photo on it and they'll send his medical file to Canada and then it will go to the VO.

The applicant has to present Appendix C to the doctor, the doctor completes the form that he sends with the tests and you receive a copy of the form that the VO will use for tracking your results once they need them and which you have to submit with your application and Appendinx C and the letter they sent

I suggest you scan the letter, underline the dates for them to be easier to see the problem and e-mail them/ fax them/ call them / send a pigeon even, telling them they gave you no time to do it.

I too forgot to submit my medicals, they sent a letter requesting them on May 23 rd. I managed to get an appointment on June 1 st, mailed it the same day. They received it on June 11th and the approval was sent on June 13

So if you solve the dates issue so that they will wait to receive your package back, it will be fast enough!

Good luck, don't let this get you down

Day 7 (working) / Day 9 (total)

Hey, I know this may sound evil and all... but I kinda wish someone would end up in the same mess I am just so I can cope with someone!?!?

And you know... I'm taking this so hard I didn't notice everyone who's got accepted.
Congrats to you all... plus, you know how to make me jealous. I envy you all... rofl...

Let's make you feel better, I understand you so much

So I'm sponsored as conjugal partner, which means we're not married and we can't leave together as common law since we're at 8500km appart. So by the time they will send a PPR for your application, after sorting this problem, I will still be waiting since my case is not easy and straight forward, i'm facing an interview at a visa office very aware of and used to immigration fraud. And it's possible that they will reject it and we'll have to wait for an appeal.

And I won't know anything for about 6-7 months. I'm at 14 days and the stress is killing me, I'm hoping to get used to it and I'm trying not to get my hopes too up. I cry somewhere between 1-5 days a day. The waiting game is a "beach" :)) Fear makes it double. And because of all this I'm constantly cranky, I isolated from friends in the past year because I can't concentrate on what they are talking and I don't care about any other subject except being with the one I love and need.

I sometimes worry this changed me so much, I won't be able to get back on track once everything will be over.

Again, chin up! This is the last trial and in the end, everything will be right.

Good luck! I feel for you, when I log on the forum I'm looking for updates from you

Well bad news for me! My entire application got sent back in the mail today :( I did not submit medicals and they are saying they need these and some other documents before I send it back in. Only thing that is strange it says I have to submit them by 06/21/2012 which is the same date at the top of my letter. Pretty hard to do that considering that day is already past????????

See Thunder I told you I would be here for a while with you. I wasn't kidding.

That is absolutely Ludacrous that they make you wait that long! Poor you I would give them a call this morning and talk about that letter!

It is so true we try to isolate ourselves from everyone as nobody understand the importance and the feeling involved in all of this!
