Finally, i have received my approval letter in mail. The file has been transferred to my VO. Now, the VO waiting time starts..

hi guys can any 1 help here ,on sponsorship app it says dec made and tht they sent methe letter on june 7 ,i got the letter and i got approved alls gd in this ,on the permt resd it says we recvd ur app on feb 27 and meds have been recv ,i just wanna kno how much time it takes to get to the visa office and wat should they update when they recive it at the visa office wat should they write and how much time it takes from cic onterio to the visa office anyhelpppppppppppppp

Each visa office have their own processing time. Have you checked the CIC website to see the current processing time for your visa office? In my case, the ecas says the same and my visa office is New Delhi. According to the CIC website it is 6 months processing time for New Delhi visa office but that's not really the case based on what I hear from similar applicants here and based on couple of my own friend's experience. Everything got done with in 2-3 months of CIC-M informing them the file has been transferred to New Delhi office.

Again, check the processing time for your visa office to get an idea. Let's all hope it will takes less time for the actual processing on Stage 2 than whatever it says on the CIC website.

2-3 weeks. Some visa officers send an AOR and some do not. Just keep checking ecas.

Yes. May 16 and I got AOR from VO in less than 3 weeks.

Hi!! Maybe you can help..? My husband is in Cuba (we received the sponsorship approval letter from mississauga on may 7) and he got a call from immigration today saying they already reviewed our application but we are missing info on one form (which I'm going to fax them tomorrow). Does this mean he will be able to get his visa soon?? I was NOT expecting things to happen this fast, but I'm freaking out right now, more excited than ever in my life and just wondering if they have already review our app, that means he should get the visa soon, right? THANK YOUUUU!!!!

Thank you for your all support. yes. waiting is the scarest things. i have planed so many plans... check the processing times almost everyday. my huby felt bad too. luckily, he is in Vietnam to visit me, so he comforts me alot.

Yes. i will see the whole package again, and redo it again. if somethings wrong in my new application, i would jump out the window. the PCC in my country takes 28 days to get new one, and spend another 150$ for Medical check. they are all expired.
For your information, the CIC agency said that it takes them 3 months just to open a envelop. the same day they open is the day they process, send out approval letter (if things are alright).

Questions appear : there are 2 new forms which are Application to sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking (IMM 1344) form and the Generic Application Form for Canada . they are very important, and contain most of the info. So, I guess i have to write other papare again.

Also, for the payment, does my huby has to cancel, and make a new payment?? #$%%, its just so messy and i can even sleep. Please please help... the CIC is kinda impossible to reach!

You don't have to pay again, don't worry about that! Your husband needs to buy you a very nice gift.

Unless it is a document like a medical or police check....Cuba usually accepts emailed copies or faxes.

It is just that the package was sent to the wrong office. I have seen a few people got their packages sent back within a few weeks if they had things missing, so there is a precheck on the applications. Alberta might handle things different. You do not need to make a new payment, you can use the receipt from the first application. Just redo the changed forms and double check all your documents and you can rest assured that this time things go well/ Sorry to hear about the extra waiting time for police check. Is your medical expired? I do not think you need new medical. It is valid for 1 year and if needed your Visa office will request later on a renewal.

I don't get it... How can the medical be received (that means stage 2 is almost complete) and they sent their app Feb 17!?
