An AOR is written correspondence from the visa office to the applicant, it's not usually an update from eCAS.shelleydalyce said:Is that considered as an AOR??? ecas showing the PR application has been arrived at buffalo???
No. Buffalo will send you a letter saying they have received the file and advising you on the estimated processing time and how to go about communicating with them if there is anything else they require from you, that will be the AOR. They usually include bar codes to be attached to any additional correspondence you send them. eCAS saying they have received the file is just a system update.shelleydalyce said:So the ecas update saying the application was received in buffalo doesn't mean the application was received? Isn't that what an AOR is?
you mean you got your sponsorship approval in mail. That is not the AOR. AOR is sent by the Buffalo office to the applicant and it takes about 2 months after sponsorship approval. I was for one second shocked to see AOR received by a Feb. applicantdominico said:recieved my letter of aor in the mail today, my file is in buffalo....so what/when is the next update/letter?
according to the Outland buffalo thread cic is changing their systems as of February and march. These result in faster AORs for us. So our files are getting scanned on arrival and these ecas updates are our AORs. So yay!!!!CharlieD10 said:No. Buffalo will send you a letter saying they have received the file and advising you on the estimated processing time and how to go about communicating with them if there is anything else they require from you, that will be the AOR.
