Feb 2015 citizenship applicants

New here. Timeline for me and wife's applications sent in together

App sent: Feb 16 2015
App Received: Feb 18 2015
Email AOR: March 13 2015


No update online ever since....called CIC and she says if application was received before March 17, then its in process. But online it only shows as received....?!

We have kind of the same timelines. I heard that CIC doesn't really care about updating the ECAS. I think we just need to be patient and wait for the next notification from CIC.

My timeline too is the same. Will CIC send an email if the status changes from "Received" to "Process" ?

I don't think so. You need to check periodically by logging in, I guess.
 
I guess it also depends on the local processing office...for instance, here in Edmonton I've read that there is quite a backlog. I guess once Edmonton clears it's back-log only then will they accept a new bunch of files from Sydney!

Is there a local office in Calgary as well?
