Please share when your ECAS was activated.

Mine is still not active... (AOR received 2 days ago, on march 10th)

Will do.
Read this on the CIC website. Could this be the reason?

Please note that some citizenship applicants are currently experiencing technical difficulties with our e-Client Application Status online tool. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you may refer to the processing times web page for an estimate of how long it may take to process your application. Thank you for your patience.

I'm disturbed at the competitiveness on this site on how fast you get your AOR. I don't see the point of it. Think of how the other people feel who have been waiting much longer.

I quit this site.

Thanks to all those lovely Vienna applicants who were supportive through permanent residency applications!

What about us received before the 19th and 20th who haven't received any notice? What about those in other months with no AOR yet. I wonder why? Personally I would like to see some statistics on nationalities. Maybe there is no difference, maybe there is. I wish people would stop bragging so much. It feels so competitive. I feel like I don't even want to check this website anymore. When my husband was waiting for permanent residency I felt the people on that thread for that particular visa office were more supportive.

Cleo, I feel your frustration. When my husband applied for his PR it was supposed to be a simple outside of Canada spousal sponsorship. Every week/month I'd watch other people on this board post about getting their passport requests and COPR's wondering when it would finally be our turn. I wrote letters to my MP and the immigration minister, requested the file notes, etc. It ended up taking 13 months before he was granted PR.

When I look at the spreadsheet what I expect to see is the oldest records green with AOR's received. It doesn't make sense why a bunch received in the middle of the month were done before those earlier in the month. It doesn't look fair (yes I was getting jealous of everyone that was getting their AOR before me with later submitted applications). Unfortunately we just can't find out how CIC processes the files so can only make assumptions.

What I can see is that the January applicants had to wait on average 43 days for AOR and February applicants only 27 days so far. We all hope is that the overall processing time at all stages is improved so that 24 month "average processing time" listed on the CIC website will not be a reality for any of us. My coworker just got his citizenship last October, after 19 months.

I don't think anyone here is being competitive or bragging. This first stage is crucial because we're all scared before we get that AOR that something is wrong or something is missing from our applications. Knowing how long it's taking everyone else on average helps set expectations. The 48 entries on the spreadsheet for February are probably just a small amount of the records CIC has received this month so we don't know how they've shuffled the rest of them into our pile.

You're going to get your AOR soon!
