We should support this online petition:

CIC, Adopt a one-line processing standards so applicants from all across Canada will be processed on first-come-first-served basis

https://www.change.org/p/chris-alexander-adopt-a-one-line-processing-standards-so-applicants-from-all-across-canada-will-be-processed-on-first-come-first-served-basis

Ridiculous.

People in Edmonton say people in Scarborough are getting processed faster.

People in Scarborough is saying people in Edmonton are being processed quicker.

Read up the forum, you'll see comments like these.

5 minutes to one person is fast, 5 minutes to another person is an eternity.

Nowadays, for some people it takes only a few days for CIC to start processing after receiving. I don't know why it took 2 months for mine :)

Probably because your officer handling your app wasn't stalled by all the ATIP requests that others have requested.

For me - it has been almost 60 days since I received the AOR. My app is still in Sydney and probably will be still there in the near future until all the ATIP requests and call centre inquiries stop to let the officers do their job.

No. The next step would be test mail. They may ask you for additional documentation during the course of processing of the application.
