My visit to USA
22 May 2009 to 21 November 2009 on B1/B2

- do I need to apply for pcc? Visa was for 6 months and I left the country before duration ended.

Cic ITA acceptance deadline 1st November 2017

- if I apply for FBI pcc, I don't think I'll get it before the deadline. Can I include a cover letter stating awaiting pcc from. FBI? Or decline invitation and come back in pool and only accept after pcc.

CRS 453
You dont need to apply for PCC if you have stayed in US for a total of 6 months

It comes to 184 days.
It is safer to apply and get the pcc as its almost 6 months. One of the major reasons for rejection is not providing PCC.

Apply for FBI because you're a borderline case.
Reject the ITA. get back in the pool. You'll certainly get an ITA in the next round, and it will buy your 3 months+ 1 week of extra time.

That's what I did when I had a problem with my ITA. And my CRS was 434!

Okay. Thanks a lot. Shall I go ahead and accept ITA and show FBI pcc application with a cover letter stating already app

Definitely apply for the FBI PCC - you're at 6 months.

Accept the ITA, and put in the request for the FBI PCC if you haven't already done so, BUT...

...don't submit your eAPR with the documentation showing you've applied for the FBI PCC until the day before your ITA expires (i.e. the day before the deadline to submit your eAPR). IRCC only accepts the documentation showing you applied for an FBI PCC in lieu of the actual PCC because they realize how long it takes to get it from the FBI, and they're trying to be accommodating. But you have to prove that you gave it your best effort to get the PCC before applying. "Best effort" includes waiting the full 3 months that you are accorded to submit your eAPR before actually submitting it...

The documentation you provide as proof should include:
  • a copy of the application, and fingerprinting card you sent the FBI
  • copy of FedEx receipt (or receipt from whatever service you use to mail off your application)
  • print out of FedEx tracking report showing delivery
  • print out of FBI charge to credit card
  • anything else you can think of to show IRCC that you have genuinely applied for the FBI PCC

Guys- I see that my credit card was charged on Aug 24th for an application delivered on June 14th.. I am based out of US and yet to receive the letter... want to check if anyone received the FBI letter who applied near these dates.. thanks

My card was charged August 25 for an application delivered June 16. Haven't gotten mine yet either :( . I'm also based outside the US and Canada (but indicated the PCC should be sent to a Canadian address)

Anyone called today to see what packages are being opened. Hopefully monday shall bring in July packages

Hi Everyone,
My credit card was charged on Aug 24. I am located in Dallas, TX. How much time will it take for the fbi report to be delivered?

I suggest you apply for the fbi pcc. And go ahead with the ITA. No need to reject it. I had same case. I was 5mths 20days visit in usa on B1/B2 visa. I applied for the fbi pcc and like someone adviced, i attached my proof of application and letter of explanation to my application saying i am nt 6mths however i have applied if its needed. I submitted my application 2days to the ITA deadline. When my application was reviewed, i got an ADR with 60days validity. Somewhere before the 60days your fbi pcc will come and you can attach. The only reason they reject for no pcc is it its nt there and you have not written an explanation to say why. Once you tell them you applied and waiting on it, they too understand that fbi pcc takes time. Just ensure your fingerprints are taken well so your 1st attempt at an fbi pcc is successful.

And if by chance ur fbi pcc is not available by the time the expiration of the ADR, u can put in for an extension.

Just start working on the fbi pcc right away now that u got the ITA.
