Hey folks,

I am just trying to get ready for the next step which ll be police certificates

I just have a good question for all of you:
1- I want to get my FBI clearance (which ll be my pol certificate) from United States
Online i see that i need to download a form fill it out, and send it with finger prints...anybody has any idea, where to go for this finger prints? is it valid for both RCMP as well as FBI?
Currently, I am in Saskatchewan, if any body has any idea where to go for finger prints, Please?

Thanks,
P.S: Also, if you have any idea how long it takes for FBI as well as RCMP to get the clearance certificates,
appreciated
Thank you

The FBI has two methods to get the report to you. The standard office for the FBI in Clarksburg, WV, and they now have private servicers that will perform the same task. It used to be the Clarksburg office accepted expedited requests for fast processing, but since they started to privatize the service they no longer operate that way and take at minimum about 6-8 weeks for processing.

So, your best bet is a private servicer. Its considerably more expensive, but here is what you do... Get your FBI fingerprint card done, find a servicer that can do overnight or expedited service if not overnight, pay the extra fee and get it done ASAP and you'll have it returned within a few days or a week at most even if you're not in the US.

You can find more information directly from the FBI, including links to private servicers:

http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks

http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks/list-of-fbi-approved-channelers

I need to warn you, there may have been changes with this private channel program since I did mine, I got a genuine FBI certified document from a channeler that is no longer listed here. You may still need to deal with the Clarksburg office directly with the FBI.

Just do your research and best of luck.

P.S. if you're still confused, and since immigration is such an important process, you may want to do both simultaneously. Order a super fast expedited private FBI check to get a copy now, and simultaneously send a copy off to the FBI that would take the standard 6-8 weeks. If the channeler handles you correctly and you get a certified FBI background check, submit it ASAP. If not, your order is still in as fast as possible direct with the FBI.

Its more costly to do two simultaneous requests, but you need to value whether your immigration application is worth it. I'd say it is. :)

Hi! You can get your fingerprints to the nearest RCMP in your place. Processing of FBI takes 4-6 weeks. But you can email them and request to expedite it

Unfortunately, the FBI no longer accepts expedited requests. However, the private channelers do. The problem/caveat is that some private channelers don't give you the full FBI report back (its some kind of form that says its clear with some of them)... So you have to do homework.

I wished it would have all stayed in house at the FBI, several years back when I attempted immigration I did an FBI request and just asked them to expedite, at no charge, and they did.
