Hi, CIC gives us 90 days for this, but it has been two months, still no reply from FBI. :(
their website shows standard processing time 12 to 14 weeks!
If we cannot make it within 90 days, what should we do? it's not our fault.
Anyone has similar situation???

Do you live in the USA?

Yes actually I do. It's been around 9 weeks for me, from USA applied Outland. They are taking their sweet time. I sent cic the receipt to prove I did the fingerprints and got them sent to the FBI but who knows if that's even enough for them.

CIC is well aware of the FBI delays.

You can either send a CSE (Case Specific Enquiry) to CIC, explaining that you are still waiting (and include proof of when you submitted the request to the FBI).

Or...if you can afford to do this again, you can use an approved third-party Channeler (for a U.S. citizen, only) to obtain the FBI IHSR letter (PCC) within a matter of minutes, or at worst a couple of days.

I suggest the first option. ;)

Anyone who is having a problem with this and is physically located in the US (or, at least can travel to the US): you can use a third party channeler to get your results in minutes. This is only an option if you are a US Citizen or Permanent Resident. You can do this even if you are currently waiting on your certificate, as long as you don't mind spending the additional fee.

oh really!
I sponsored my husband, he is USA green card holder.
That means, we can find a 3rd party now and get the certificate in a few days even if we are in the middle of waiting. That's good news.
We sent an enquiry to FBI two weeks ago, they replied that they are now processing to those application received on MAR 3.
We plan to update CIC at the end of May to let them know our situation, hopefully they won't reject our case solely based on that.

Does anyone know where can we find a legitimate third party channeler? thanks.

There's a list on the FBI website.

Part of the problem in sending the request to the FBI, is that you won't know if the fingerprints are rejected, due to poor quality, until AFTER yur credit card has been charged, since that's the first part of their process. Waiting soooo long, only to find out it was in vain, would stink!

They received my fingerprints on the 28th of march it's about 5 weeks now and still waiting.

I had good luck with Fieldprint. No idea whether they're available in your area or not.

There's an FBI processing thread here somewhere. Our experience was that it took 10 weeks. From dropping it off in a post office in Illinois (via regular post) and receiving it in hand May 1st here in Canada.

I know I was not the thread starter but thank you for the suggestion. I sent a CSE yesterday with the receipt for the fingerprints, so I will see what happens.
